I have Ribbot as my jock. He's a robot frog, what's not to love?
Pierce and Mott are also personal favorites.

Although my all-time favorite jock is Tarou, he unfortunately isn't in New Leaf. ;-;

Poncho, perhaps? I think he would make a good Jock villager.
 
I'd prefer Genji, but Bam, Bud and Rod are also pretty good Jocks.

In your list, I'd choose Sterling
 
i like pierce more than sterling, his colors are more my taste, but i'm biased because i had him in acww. >//<

although my favorite jock is teddy, he's just so adorable. of your list i'd go with sterling. :)

something i like to do when trying to decide on a villager is choose the one i was iffy about at first, and if i love em, keep them~ and if they aren't what i expected them to be, i just replace them with the one i wanted more to begin with c:

Ribbot's cute, I just hope there isn't a robot takeover or anything like that lol!
I have Elvis as my lion, so that's a no on Mott. Pierce looks kinda like a toucan, so all I can think about when I see him is fruit loops haha
It's kinda sad that not all villagers got transferred over to NL, I wished they did since alot of them are really cute and have nice designs.

Thank you for the suggestion! :) I wish I could have them all in my town and see which I like best, but that's always gonna be the downside.

I could probably try it, but then the issue of them eventually moving out if I do find that I don't like them as much as I thought. Since I have 9 of the 10 villagers I want, I'll have a harder time being able to move the 10th, as many guides have pointed out so that's not really an option I guess?
 
From the ones you want, I'd suggest Cousteau. Never had him, but he looks funny. But the 2 jocks I love are Roald and Curly. Roald is so adorable! Curly is rare, but hes such a great pig I love his curly eyebrows :3
 
Thank you guys for all of your help. I'm still undecided, but I guess we did at least narrowed my original list down to Cousteau and Sterling, yay! I'd definitely take Roald too if I happen to see him in the threads somewhere though c:
 
Well, it seems to be a definite win for other villager, but you guys haven't really given me much reason besides the fact that They would just be good villagers or they're cute. Oh well!
Among my choices though, Sterling is definitely winning, but I do like the fact that Star Fire said Cousteau was very cool and underrated, so I've decided that, either one would be great in my town! :3 if you couldn't tell already from my changed signature haha
Whoever shows up first though when I have space will be the ultimate winner lol!
 
Roald :o I have him in my town since ever and he's so funny, (at least with me) He sincerely looks more like a lazy o.e I always find him sleeping c: I think that those fat penguins are really cute xD
