I went with Orville. It would be nice if Isabelle gave announcements about NPCs or the weather, but the dialogue and loading screens to go anywhere are just painful. I had a similar complaint about Sahara, but thankfully they fixed it with the update ^^

Orville talking too much is definitely the most annoying. It’s even worse if you accidentally choose the wrong option from trying to speed through the dialogue and have to repeat the whole thing again.

I've totally done that...ugh.

Another annoying thing is when my villager Nate sneakily walks in front of me when I'm trying to wish upon stars during meteor showers. I see the star in the sky, I press the button, and...Nate is suddenly in my way and starts blabbing to me. lol

The most annoying are the landing cutscenes and Gulliver's state of the nation address.

But limited to the options above, it's Orville's longwinded dialogue.

Orville. Hands down. Same with Wilbur when you want to leave. With each of them you get to the point of no return but you still have to click through further dialogue even though no options are offered.

Orville, because it's too long and you need to restart the entire damn thing every time something goes wrong or you just misclick.

Blathers and his full museum explanation when you have nothing to donate should be on the list too.

Isabelle does this really annoying head to one side smug smile after some of her nonsense and it really winds me up. I used to really like her but she's best when she's running around with her little bell jingling.
I feel like she’s mocking me when she does the head tilt and smile as she watches me aggressively mash B button

As much as I hate Orville's insufferable monologues, I think not being able to do certain things because people are over, even if they're categorized as your in-game best friends, is worse.

It was so hard for me to vote. I had a hard time choosing between Isabelle's announcement and Orville's 100-hours long dialog; but I chose Orville, because having a joy-con drift that makes me change the choice when I'm not paying attention is painful.
oh, so, painful...
