It's not half-ass. It can do more with my music than an iPod can, and I don't have to carry a DSi and iPod with me. And the DSi supports three filetypes, and it's very easy to convert from mp3. You can do it easily in iTunes.

Yes I am serious and my family can't afford one. Is there a problem with not having an I pod?

There actually is nothing wrong with this. You can always get a SD Card and plug it in your Wii and listen to music but you can't play games.
