which game had the best music?

I'm surprised that New Leaf has the most votes. I remember people not thinking too highly of it during the New Leaf days. I personally love the GameCube version. The music has drastically changed since then. The music captured the night and day perfectly. Even rainy days, too. New Leaf would be my second choice, though.
I love the gamecube versions music, especially the intro theme. It makes me remember how much I loved playing the game back when I was a kid. I enjoyed most of the new leaf songs, I couldn't stand 1pm for awhile though because apparently that's when I'd start playing most days.

GameCube for sure. The rainy day music is my favorite Animal Crossing music ever. Nostalgia surely plays a huge role in that my memories of the game are so inflated compared to the other games but it is what it is.
There's no option for "all of them" 
Personally I gotta go for WW/CF for the nostalgia as it was the game I played the most probably for the longest period of time. (Or maybe it just seems that way because they had the same music for both games?) The evening music for WW/CF was really nice.
Y'know what I miss is having different music on the islands in NL.... I used to have severe sleeping trouble so I would wake up at 5pm and fish on the island until I fell asleep, and the music was so calming. it gets a bit annoying going to islands in NH and always hearing the same music.

The Wild World soundtrack hits different every time I listen to it. I think it’s the nostalgia for me since it was my first Animal Crossing game.
I think I can pick songs I like and dislike from every (main) game. How can you not love this 2am music from the GCN game?
The 4pm music from Wild World is basically synonymous with being home from school for me...
New Leaf had the almighty 7pm music which makes me feel feels.
Finally I'll never get over how obnoxious the 8am music in New Horizons is. Who feels like this music feels at 8am?
For real, all the soundtracks resonante with me on some level. There's songs I love and songs I don't love so much from every game.
I'd love it if Nintendo released a music pack for New Horizons, that features all the hourly music from the older games, and allowed us to pick what song would play for each hour via Isabelle. It'd be so good - a little wacky maybe, but still, I think this would go down a treat with a lot of fans from previous games. Bonus points for adding the title themes and letting us change that, too.

i have similar favorites! 4pm from WW is so joyful and 7pm from NL is definitely one of my favorite songs of the whole series. i never played the gamecube version so i hadn't heard the music before but that 2am track absolutely slaps. doesn't really feel appropriate for 2am, but it's so funky

Wild World is my favourite and New Leaf is a close 2nd. Both games had magical and melancholy night tracks which is what I love. I tend to play at night because I have issues with sleep and both games always put me to sleep peacefully. I don't play NH at night because 1am and 3am annoy me. All of the GC late night tracks I don't like either.
i would like this option because i'm not really a fan of the NH soundtrack, but i do think it would take away from each soundtrack in a way because they would be less iconic to the game they're from
