which flower is the most tropical?

as the title says, which flowers do you associate with beaches/etc. the most?

i'm mostly doing this to decide what flowers to use in one part of my island, but i also just kind of want to know people's opinions!

as someone with a tropical island; i recommend cosmos, pansies, and lilies. typically the white, orange, or red variants of those flowers.

windflowers and some variations of the pansies personally strike me as "tropical"

Windflowers look pretty tropical to me. The pansies will also work for the tropical theme in my opinion.

Oh right. My bad. I just realized that it is indeed a shrub.

Windflowers grow on temperate areas so it's the most tropical. Next are cosmos because they are related to sunflowers.

Cosmos look like daisies to me, so I went with lilies. Orange and pink lilies give a more tropical vibe. Orange, red, and pink windflowers too.

I’m really surprised how many people are saying pansies. It’s totally fine if you see them that way, but I just...can’t—all my associations with them are the exact opposite of tropical. They don’t exactly do well with warm and humid weather.

agree with everyone saying lilies! i also voted for mums because the white + yellow ones remind me of dandelions....more sort of late summer vibes though. they also look pretty nice on the beach in my opinion!

I agree with lillies, none of the other flowers besides maybe windflowers really gave me a "tropical" vibe, more like a wilderness meadow or garden vibe.

I know this all too well... I'm guilty of seeing them as tropical looking in AC myself though. Not because of what they are but I think it's because of the open round petals, broader leaves and exotic color patterns.

I think I'll only use hyacinths and a few roses bc the other flowers look weirdly scaled to me.
