I only get digital games if they are much cheaper than the actual physical copies. I do have to admit that Nintendo does hold some nice sales on some retail games.

Umm no it's really not. Digital and physical each have their pros and cons just depends on what you prefer.

Physical, I got it for cheap second hand, I'd actually rather have digital really, it makes carrying around all my games easier.
But the digital copies of games on eShop are like ?10 more expensive that physical copies are new, so I tend to pass on them.

digital because i have the animal crossing xl. although now i'm a bit paranoid because i have main two games (pokemon x and acnl) on my sd card, i'm running out of space on it and i've heard the horror stories of transferring sd card data..

2 physical will be getting our 3rd DS of the house and 3rd cartridge soon. I was way to scared of the corruption problem to get the digital version lol.

I have both.
I honestly don't think that the chances of the digital one corrupting are any higher; people have had the cartridge version corrupt on them too. But as long as you save properly, you should be fine (there's always a small chance of anything technology-related failing though).

There is 100% nothing wrong with digital games.

Actually, data corruption is more likely with a physical copy as you can pop the game card out at any given time.

I've had many, many digital games on my 3DS and have yet to experience a data corruption.

Um yet they are tied to one 3DS so if anything happens to that, you're doomed :/

Always physical. Looks pretty on the shelf and digital seems like a pain if you switch 3DS's a lot or something.

actually digital copies are tied to the sd card not to the console. You can always take out an sd card and put it in a new 3ds....
