Which 3DS games should I buy?

It's been a long time since I've actively been buying and reading up on new games, and I feel so out of the loop!
I've been looking around game stores and on IGN, but I'm still unsure what would be worth purchasing as a lot of what I've come across in irl stores seems to be aimed at small children and, unfortunately, my local Game Stop is seriously lacking in choice
I enjoy Pok?mon, Harvest Moon, and Animal Crossing (of course!); and I currently have Pok?mon X, HM A New Beginning, AC:NL, and Zelda ALBW.

I'm looking for something along those lines, I guess, and with good graphics. Can anyone think of something I might like?

Can't think of anything related to Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing, but Bravely Default is similarish to Pok?mon(In it being a RPG), except there's no catching monsters and it has a whole lot of cut-scenes, it has decent graphics if you don't mind the anime-ish style graphics.

I'd also recommend Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate(Or Monster Hunter 4 which should hopefully get a release in the West in 2015), out of the games I've played and seen on the 3DS, it has the best graphics on the console. It was the sole reason I initially bought the 3DS having played the prequels to it on the PSP. Admittedly it has more hack n'slash and FPS mechanics than any of the other games you mentioned, but if you haven't already seen it, definitely have a look at it and if you already have look again. ;) One thing I should say about it is though that it's best played with friends to get the best experience out of it.

I think you might like Rune Factory. Mashes together Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon with Zelda dungeon exploring. So you've got the day to day farming and life simulator tasks of Harvest Moon, but in your free time you can also go off and fight monsters dungeons.

I have to say MH:3 looks neat! I'll have to keep an eye out for it in stores and hopefully come across more people to play online with if I find it :D
And I'm looking at the graphics of Bravely Default right now .. it's a case of automatic DO WANT.

I keep hearing about Rune Factory and looked for a demo on the Nintendo eShop, but no luck ): I really like the sound of it, though!
Would you recommend starting at the original or is there any particular one you think is the best? I see RF4's release has been cancelled in Europe D:

Thank you both for your recommendations!

Well that looks different! It'd be nice to try something out of the ordinary from what I usually play so I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks!

I caved at just ordered it online; those graphics have got me, seriously! Had no room on my SD to download it so I'm going to be hellish impatient waiting for it to arrive

I recommend Tomodatchi life and Yoshi's new island

Upcoming new games - Smash Bros, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire & Fantasy life.

That's all i can think of at the moment anyway :)

ALL OF THEM. GET THEM ALL.

<cough>
I have a lot of fun with Mario Kart 7, I plan on buying Fantasy Life 2 when it comes to the States in October, uh... Resident Evil (if you like those kinds of games) and... Disney's Magical World, it's got the same feel to it as Animal Crossing, except with Disney characters! :D

I would also recommend RF4 (unless you are in the EU...no release date last I heard)

BD:FF has a pretty steep learning curve, just a heads up.
It's a very fun and pretty game though. I recommend playing with headphones too, it's soundtrack is lovely and amongst the best on the 3ds.

Oh Europe. :X Well since no particular release date is scheduled and it is forever cancelled in Europe, then I would suggest finding Rune Factory 3 for the DS. Otherwise I'm sorry. :(

Europe is where I am so, unfortunately, no RF4 for me :( Going to give 2 a shot though!
Thanks for letting me know! I'll have to find some patience somewhere by the time BD arrives haha :'3

Ohh, I ended up ordering RF2 before I'd seen your reply! :') Hopefully I'll enjoy it and end up getting the other games in time, though, if I can find the PAL versions; it was difficult to find the European RF2 at a reasonable price for brand new. Although, I'm not sure whether I'm looking in the "right" places >_<

Ahh yes! Pokemon Sapphire; the original GBA version was one of my favourites when it first came out here. I haven't played it in the longest time though ;_; Must give the remakes a go!
I'm still unsure of Tomodatchi Life. The Mii style of graphics just .. really does nothing for me :| I don't think I could bear looking at it for more than I have to on the DS >_<

To be honest, I generally don't play games like Mario Kart. They make me rage more often than not haha, so I keep away.
I've never played Resident Evil or anything like it O_O I don't mind watching horror, but playing it would probably give me a conniption heh.
And I really like the look of Fantasy Life. I'll definitely be giving that a go when I get the chance!

try Fire Emblum Awakeing it is good and can challenge you at time (RPGTBS Fan) Fantasy life for sure thats a must see you like Zelda ALBW you may also like Zelda OoT (note its play style is nothing like ALBW) Bravely Default is awesome too has 1 of the best new tbs set up's i have seen. If your looking for DS games not just 3DS games Try Advance Wars DS and Golden Sun Dark Dawn.

Hope you enjoy BD :) Check out the BDFF thread if you have any questions, and we can try to help! Or, there's always gamefaqs and other places if you get confused xD Have you tried the demo? It will (sorta) explain things and if you complete the demo you can get some basic weapons and money to start you off (nothing gamebreaking, just makes the beginning of the game a bit easier). It's also a pretty long demo (took me 7 hours to beat it lol but I've seen people do it within 5).

RF2 and RF3 were pretty cool games. Plus if you enjoy 2, you can play 3! They made improvements in the gameplay in each new iteration so it's better than going backwards!

Thank you! I haven't tried the BD demo yet as I've been running low on SD blocks, but I'll definitely be trying it out later on today when I get a new card ^-^

Ohh, I keep seeing that people are playing Fire Emblem but I don't know anything about it! I'm going to try the demo after :3 I really hope Fantasy Life lives up to the hype! It sounds really neat ^^ I've just googled OoT and hell yes, I like the look of it! I think I'd actually prefer that style compared to ALBW
