I've had Marshal and Merengue. Merengue is gorgeous but I think there are way better Normals, since the group has the cutest villagers. I have Marshal because I like how simple he is. I have Awesome Bob Masters and unicorns, and I need someone to balance them out.

Fun fact, my brother, 100% noob just like me as NL is the first AC game for both of us, got Merengue as one of his starters without re-setting for anything. After I researched the game a bit and got into the forums.... well, he was quite surprised when I told him how much she's worth within the AC community XDDD

Marshmallow squirrels and strawberry cake rhinos, I'm sensing a trend here. Popular villagers are always the ones that make you feel hungriest.

I think it's the food trend you're sensing here or rather these animals are "food" theme per se even though Merengue is more evident.

Also I think it's great that Merengue is in #1 spot now. I always found that she'd be popular considering how many people do look for her in their dreamies list. That, and she's got an awesome Strawberry cake theme, so what's not to love about her? I still want Marshal though but I wouldn't mind having Merengue either. It's great that she's at the #1 spot for now! c:

Funny enough, I don't see Lolly around the forums nearly as much as some other villagers who are even down in tier 2 and three. I would rank her more as number 7 or 8 on the tier 1 list (even though I love her myself!)

Marshall > Merengue, in my own opinon, but I can see why she is #1, gratz Merengue
