are there any websites to find different ideas for ur island ? i’ve heard reddit is good but going through it i only really find ac memes lmao. as of rn i’ve only been watching island tours on yt but it’s hard to like directly get ideas since i can’t take screenshots or whatever. and where do i specifically like find custom designs i can download ? i’m also having trouble finding those;; thank you to anyone who can help!

Tumblr used to be big for ACNL. But I think pinterest and twitter are probably bigger for NH, especially since features linked to twitter are added for Switch.

Youtube has tons of town tours as well. Idk what you're watching YT on but, you can always pause the video and press "prt sc" to screencap it on computer (then go to paint and paste)...on phone app you just pause and do whatever your phone does (iphone was like the main button and lock screen button to screen cap...android was handswipe to screencap).

I would recommend Twitter and YouTube as others have mentioned before. I actually used to see quite a bit of island designs on Reddit, but I think people have been posting less about that, so that's unfortunate. I saw so many island ideas on Reddit, and some of it has actually inspired me. It's pretty hard to filter it out, but you can just keep checking from time to time. :)

I’ve just logged into my tumblr for the first time in what .. 7 years?? And omg there is LOADS for animal crossing! Especially creator codes for designs OMG!!

I watch ACNH streamers on Twitch in the background while I'm playing, and many of them regularly tour the islands of their chat members. You get to see a lot of diverse island types and approaches to design and decoration in a way that's a little less fancy and curated than instagram or pinterest or what have you.

I use Pinterest, Twitter (which I then save to Pinterest) and occasionally Tumblr or Reddit. If I need inspiration for a larger area I might try to find something on Youtube.

I use Instagram mostly! So many awesome creators out there. I often find codes I can't find on pinterest/reddit there :)

Tumblr is great, and I also got a soft spot for the japanese acnh youtube community. I got suuper tired of seeing the same ol 5 STAR ISLAND TOUR AMAZING/ INCREDIBLE 500 HOUR ISLAND that are just so... blah...
I do set the speed to 1.75 bc I find most of them to be very slow but yeah
(suuper cute foresty)
(I read somewhere that this person was the first to do the shop alley thing but im not sure? their town is amazing)
(more alleys! but cute natural areas as well)

Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram ect.. really any social media site! I tend to find most of my ideas on these sites though ^^

I hadn't thought of using Pinterest until I saw this thread! Quick warning though - I rushed over there and typed in ACNH and it thought I meant acne! 😦

Reddit for the most part. Lots of good ideas over there.

I use instagram and I also use the nookazon discord server! there's a channel in the server that's called "island showcase" and users share screenshots of their islands. You can also ask people in the server for help, everyone is super nice. I personally use images of real life locations to get my inspiration too, but I know that that wouldn't work for everyone's theme.

I like Pinterest the best because it's so easy to save your inspiration in such an organized way--I have a board for inspiration images, one for path QRs, one for clothing QRs, one for goofy/cute fanart that I like, and one for Happy Home Designer stuff. It makes it a LOT easier to keep everything straight and find what you're looking for when you need it, and Pinterest is pretty good about giving relevant recommendations into your stream when you pin a lot of the same type of stuff so then you'll tend to get a lot of really good stuff popping up in your feed too!
