Where the heck is the tambourine?

For the past 3 months, I’ve been looking everywhere for a tambourine. The ACNH guide from futurepress says I can buy it from Nook’s Cranny, but I’ve been checking every day but it never shows up. From what I’ve seen, this item is supposed to be easy to obtain, yet I can’t find it anywhere. To be clear, I’ve never seen the tambourine in my save file, nor do I have it registered in my catalog. Does anyone know if this is a bug? Or am I doing something wrong? I’ve checked the balloon presents as well but I didn’t find it either. Maybe this was an event item? Seems extremely unlikely from what I’ve seen. Please help!

TBT is the virtual currency in the forums that you can get by making posts. I think they were talking about recieving it from one of the threads in Nook's Cranny. Have a look!

To be honest, I may be wrong but I feel like I've seen the tambourines on sale like.. on the actual floor and not in the cabinet? I may be wrong though..

Haven’t seen them there either. It’s gotta be a bug. But I’ve experienced no other bugs in the game. Why this one? Why must they keep me from obtaining the tambourine?

might be an bad RNG thing... i will keep an eye out for tambourines!

I think I've seen the tambourine in the Nook Shopping app, not in the store. I might have just gotten mixed up though.

Update: After over a year of searching, I finally found the tambourine! It was in the small items section not the cabinet.
