Where should I put my café?

So here's my map, with the blue X's marking two locations I'm thinking about building it.

I'm having a hard time deciding where I would like to put my caf?. Originally I wanted to put it where the X is in the bottom left corner, because I don't really use the caf? that much, so I kind of wanted to keep it out of the way, but still make sure that I could easily put a path leading to it as well as decorating it nicely. Then I decided that since I want all my villagers on the bottom half of the map, that hey, I could probably let a villager move there if they put their plot there at some point, which made me want to put it where the top X is instead, but I'm really not too sure now and I just cannot decide.

The open space in the top right corner near the tracks is off-limits because I plan to build my mule houses up there, so... what do you guys think? Thanks! c:

@Sholee: I was thinking of that spot too, but I wasn't sure. Since I have a villager there, I wasn't able to preview it.. either way, I guess it would still be a seaside caf?!

im not sure if you can put a cafe in that spot actually because the bridge might be in the way

I have my cafe in the bottom left like where the X is. I put it there because it was a big empty space that I didn't plan on using, so it worked perfectly!

I think you should decide on an area for your Roost Cafe that does not disrupt how your town flows with the paths, human houses, and villager houses. It's not a specific suggestion of an area, from me, but it may be a help to you with making your decision.

That would be a more ideal location, though personally I'd place it in the space above your home to kind of populate that region.

especially for if you want to do proper pathways and such


and as mentioned, I think the bridge would possibly make it impossible to place there anyways

I liked that location at first too but the OP wrote she doesnt use the cafe and wants it out of the way

It's definitely possible to move the bridge down a few spaces and move the cafe as close to the left edge as possible and pathways would still look nice.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I've been running around with Isabelle and previewing it in all sorts of places. So far the bottom left corner is proving to be a bit of a pain. I'm an absolute perfectionist and I hate that you can't move the camera when you preview a building, because I'd love to check out the area a little more around the building itself. I eventually placed the caf? but.. I soon realised it was a bit too close to the edge, so I restarted the game to try again.

I also did think about that top X making the area look more populated which is why I marked it there. I'll keep previewing until I decide which spot I definitely want to put it. So far the bottom X is where I'd love it to go, I just have to make sure when I place it that it's definitely aligned well. I'm being super careful with this town because my last one wasn't planned out too well.
