Am I the only one who has been noticing the activity here slowing down?
I'm having trouble trading and finding islands open with Redd and Celeste, for an example...
Have people moved to other platforms? Or have you just been playing the game a lot less?
It makes me sad because I don't use nookazon or any other place

I can't speak for everyone but I've personally kinda stopped playing for a bit. I think that having to do daily chores n stuff has become a bit tedious for me (going to Harvey's island for the wedding stuff, talking to at least 3 villagers, checking the Nook Shopping kiosk for miles), plus I've bee exploring other games that I haven't played in a really long time such as Mario Kart 8 and Tomodachi Life. And with Spongebob BFBB Rehydrated being released tomorrow I may not be playing New Horizons much for at least a week or so.

Activity might be slowing down simply because the game has been out for three months now and the hype is wearing off a bit. I'm sure just like myself many people are taking a break to do other things that they enjoy!

i cant believe that activity is slowing down, this has never happened to any other game thats been out for a few months. people playing different games? nuh uh not at all.

seriously though, why is this so shocking? this games peak was when it came out, all the hype after 8 years, in the middle of quarantine. it makes sense that activity is slowing down. itll probably pick up again after a new update.

I feel the quarantine slowly letting up as the US tries to get back to normal is contributing as well. I still play in my spare time but I've had to work through this whole ordeal anyways so my spare time is limited to certain hours.

I have a feeling once we get an update or if covid hits the fan again, people will be back to playing like crazy!

I've been playing the game a lot less. But, that's normal for the end of the month. I've exhausted everything I can do for now. Soon July will come and save me from my boredom. Also, the Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC just came out the other day...so, many people might be playing through that (I am).

Some other games have popped up that I'm playing, so I am on AC less, but still playing. When updates hit I'll be playing more, itll be a pattern for most people, probably.

It's not at all shocking, it was just a question to the community as I'm still quarantined and playing a lot and still need to do many trades. So I'm wondering about using other platforms

I've been playing less too, work and school have been getting in the way.. I'll have more time soon though

i've seen some wild shifts in nook's cranny from may to now. i was overwhelmed with orders the first time i sold DIYs and now it's hard to sell them. TBT has always been a small community though and i see it get quiet quickly once the demand for something has waned (definitely has for many DIYs). you'll also see it explode with an update or when something new happens. i'm not too worried about it, tbh, it's just the nature of hype and forums.

i'm sure being stuck at home played a role, too. i've worked through quarantine (from home, thankfully) but i know a lot of folks are going back now. stay safe y'all. :"(

I've been away from the game for a couple weeks. I've been playing Magic and arcade shooters (DoDonPachi, ProGear, Batsugun, Sonic Wings...) like crazy, and there's not a lot of things to do in AC right now other than building snowmen, crafting ice items and getting wedding furniture, so I'm waiting for what the next update will bring to us. Still hoping for the café addition...

Aside from perhaps being more busy with the economy slowly opening up again, I think a lot of people are just playing other games now as there isn't much to do in ACNH right now. All there is to do is to teraform (which can be tiresome and frustrating) and then there is the wedding event where if done enough times, it can become boring and mundane.
ACNH needs a more interactive, fun update I feel like where they bring back tortimer's mini games or something so friends can play together because the multiplayer aspect is really boring right now imo lolol >_<;;

i’ve also noticed a decrease in activity which is sad - i feel like traffic will be slow for a bit until the new update drops and like others have said, quarantine is slowly ending and people are returning back to their normal lives so they might not have as much time for animal crossing as they did when it first came out ;u;
