Where do you buy amiibo cards? I know the welcome amiibo update came out a while ago, but I?m only just now getting interested in them because I see some of the cards have villagers that can camp in your campground and I really want some of the furniture they sell. From what I?ve seen online no major retailers sell them

you can buy them off of amazon/ebay, that's where I get most of mine

you will need an NPC Reader to use them though.

if you want the RV cards, just search up "acne rv amino cards" or something like that ^^

I've had good luck finding all of the cards I wanted on eBay. Some of the RV cards can get a bit expensive, though.

I just checked Amazon and all I have to say is “wow” lol. The prices are really up there for the whole set so I’ll have to buy them in small random packs. I have the new 3ds so I have an nfc reader, finding the amiibo cards is the issue. I feel like Nintendo has just given up on them

Well, I guess it depends on your idea of expensive. I got most of my regular Amiibo cards for around $2.00, and with me being on a budget, $10-15 per card seems expensive. At those prices, I was only able to afford 3 of the RV cards.

I am really hoping that they will sell them again in packs at the store since there is supposed to be Amiibo capability with New Horizons (although we don’t know that for sure yet). I do have quite a few already but I’d love the full Welcome Amiibo set and a few more villager ones.

Well, I guess it depends on your idea of expensive. I got most of my regular Amiibo cards for around $2.00, and with me being on a budget, $10-15 per card seems expensive. At those prices, I was only able to afford 3 of the RV cards.

I think I payed around 8 bucks for either Paolo or Ike some time ago. Seemed reasonable. I think I've seen Julian listed for over 20 bucks at one point.

Ebay, hossjoeadam is my guy, and berricami on etsy for fanmade rv cards and cards that are generally over $6.

You don't need a NPC reader if you have a New 3DS because it's built into the handheld. Not new condition, but the "New" named version of the 3DS. Only older versions of the 3DS you need a NPC reader for because it's not built in.

i too am looking! im constantly on Etsy, Ebay, Amazon, now AliExpress..

so far ive seen the RVs going for $10+ for just [ONE] like wow.. the cheapest ive seen the entire 50 RV Set is for $80!!! to me thats not bad.. bc maan!!! ppl are trying to sell them for almost $400 like that is beyond crazy!!

the cheapest ive seen a villager card go for is $2, and for an entire series, $100, each.. bc theres like 4 series ii believe? and ii think ii saw for ALL 4 SERIES, someone was trying to sell for $1000!!!! bht that was the 1-4 Series Amiibo Cards, they came in the binders/holders that AC made.. it also included the 50 RV Cards.. im not sure if it came with the Sanrio Set or not, but ii think it did..? unless you had to pay extra bht like O.M.G!!

like, ii wish id have known about ACNL sooner.. or better yet just gotten a DS sooner, hubby got me my 3DS XL for my bday, and a friend got me to buy the game to play with her, then she ditched me!! that little *beeeeep* so it was kinda boring to play by myself.. ive only been playing for a full year now!! and theres sooooooo many cool things and items in the game! although ive fully finished my town, gotten most of everything, im not sure what else there is too do, so im not sure if ii should invest in buying the cards ya know? ii could buy another game.. bht im not sure..

I think you meant NFC. Also the New 3DS and 2DS should have one built in. So you only need one if you're using old 3DS/2DS

In the UK at least I would recommend checking ebay for single cards, especially since you can get some cards for close to the actual RRP with the added benefit of avoiding duplicate NPC cards. Getting card lots with one or more especially popular characters could also be a good option! For the RV cards, I'm afraid I can't offer much advice as they weren't in print for very long and as such are pretty expensive all around.
