where do i find the small icons?

i notice that some people have small icons on a background of their dreamies on that background, where could i go to fine the backgrounds and the small icons of the villagers? i hope you understand what i mean.

Well i use photoshop and open up the background, then open all the villager sprites in photoshop, then i just copy and paste/drag the sprites onto the background.
i hope that made sense D:

its kinda different if you want to use a gif background.. (moving background).. would you like to know?

alright, you open the gif background just as how you would open a regular picture (as well as all the sprites).
if you have the layers tab opened, you will see 'layer 1', 'layer 2' and so on so forth. press on the top layer (layer with the highest number).
open the animation tab (called 'timeline' in CC) and make sure you press on the 1st frame.
when you drag a sprite onto the background, it will automatically make a new layer (which is why i say press on the top layer)
resize the sprite to whatever size you want and do the same for the rest of the sprites..
and there you have it, you have a gif background signature ~

you can press ▶ (located at the bottom of animation frames) to test out the moving background..

im just an amateur on photoshop but i hope i explained well ><
