Combining these questions! The background matters somewhat in the sense that I'd say that I do like the backgrounds to match to an extent. Like all of the collectibles in my lineup don't need to have the same background, but I do like making lineups where collectibles with certain backgrounds are arranged symmetrically in some way. I don't think I really care how many collectibles of a certain background I use though.

Combining these questions as well. The Famous Mushroom... I like its background, and I wouldn't want it to change, but the other color variations all have that gray background, so it's a bit odd. I wish there could just be another version of the Famous Mushroom with that background. Although, there's also a part of me that thinks versions of the Blue and Green Famous Mushrooms with blue and green backgrounds would be fun.

I mean... If such a thing were possible, sure? More options isn't a bad thing.

i consider it a lot when making lineups, i like for them to at least cohesive so the max of different backgrounds for me would be three or four - as long as they're not super noticeably different !!

i don't really have a set amount that i want to use, i'm okay with using all the same background but i think it's more fun when mixing them!

hm maybe the halloweaster egg, that way all the eggs match and the love letters to the sky clouds bg!

omg seconding what @/Briar said, the poor famous mushroom, i have wanted to use it a couple of times but could never make anything that i was happy with because it stood out way too much

that'd be pretty cool in theory but i doubt i would use it, i'm pretty happy with them as they are

My favourites are the night sky and the grey background. Enchanted forest is a close second to these two

Not really something I think about when making a lineup. It's in the back of my mind as I put them together, I mostly just focus on the image

No, not at all

The famous mushroom... It feels out of place with my other mushroom collectibles to be honest. Another would be the seashell plush. While I do really like the sea background, I wish it was on the playful scenery

Even though I just said I wish the famous mushroom had a different background, I don't think I would. It would probably? make acquiring collectibles more annoying, as there'd be too many different subcategories of collectibles ig
