I was born in Texas but didn't spend much of my life living there as my family moved out to Colorado when I was a baby. I can't really say I like it much here.
Seems the American members are most likely to identify with their state first, or simultaneously with their country, or only even think of mentioning the state. Heh. Reminds me of that line from Edge of Tomorrow:
Lt. Col. Bill Cage: 'Are you an American?' Master Sergeant Farell: 'No, sir. I'm from Kentucky.'
