How that feeling to you?

I'm still taking a break in 3 towns but I have gone back to playing just slowly zebilage
And it feels great like I remember what I wanted and ways I could make it better

So how about you?

Whenever I take a break from New Leaf, I'm always scared to load up the game again.

I came off of a break near the end of May, and I've been playing since...during the course of a little over 2 months, I was able to complete my catalog, get 8/10 dream villagers, achieve some new badges, and begin landscaping my town.

I go through a cycle where I get obsessed for months, get tired of it for awhile and give it a break for a few months, then come back, then take a break, etc... It's a cycle, lol.

But whenever I do come back from a break, I always make sure to look at my activity log to see when the last day I played was, then TT backwards to make sure I don't lose any villagers or stuff like that.

If my in-game date isn't the same as real time, I just count how many days it's been and TT backwards however many days it was.

I wish I can do that but since I got 4 towns
They count all the same
So I just stop the last one from moving and I take a break and I can play right now and no one moved away

Yeha, like someone above said, I get obsessed, get a few dreamies, landscape to what I find acceptable, go on night raids of the island, and talking to all the villagers till they want to slap me. Then it hits, and suddenly everything just feels like a cycle, so I put down the game for a couple of months and play other things. I'm getting back into the cycle of playing it, which is the reason of my spike of activity.

I like when I take a break...but I have 3 towns and when I say I was/am addicted to it...I have played one town for 3 hours once...not even TTing. It's crazy. However when I come back from a break...I take it slowly and work on the main town that I have and try my best to make it the way I want it. With landscaping and what not.

Yes I am the same. I play all the time for a few months then suddenly get bored with it. Then I leave it until I get the urge to play again. Sometimes I reset one of my 2 games, sometimes I pick up where I left off.

I recently just came back from a break and am still slowly working my way back into my towns :) Bevelle is my constant. It's nearly finished so I usually manage to load up enough to prevent any move outs. Archades, Elsweyr and Azura are all WIP's and VidTown was my latest adoption so it is pretty much starting from scratch :)

But yeah, I always get a bit overwhelmed or bored after a while, so I step away... it's always nice to come back though :)

I can't take a break, its too addicting.

Actually, I did back in 2013 when I regretted to TTing and restarting too much. I actually wanted to not TT when I got the game, but I was so excited to play I did it anyway.

Would I take a break now? Probably not, because I have lots of AC:NL friends that like to see me. I don't want them to notice I don't play AC:NL anymore and delete me for my inactivity, I just won't do that.

Like most people here, I get obsessed and then take a month or two month break. With New Leaf it isn't as easy though because of the villager situation. Honestly it takes a lot of the fun out of it. I feel like I HAVE to play. Sometimes it feels like a chore that I need to break out of but I still love it.

Playing since end of January and haven't taken a break yet. Very addicted. Good to know that if I do, I can just TT to the last day I played and not lose my hard-earned dreamies.

well you really don't have to time travel back
In one point I took a break and what I did I made sure to stop the one asking to move away and I save and quit
I Take a break and once I go back in no one moved award I prefer like that because I just love seeing my villager saying the hot worried about me

I take a break from each of my 3 towns now and again. One is complete, the second is almost complete and the third is new. When I don't plan on playing for a while, I just do the wait until someone wants to move, tell them not to, then save and quit. I went back to my second town yesterday and I got a lot more done. I wanted to carry on landscaping because I hadn't played in a while. I was really enjoying seeing the town again and I will keep playing until its finished.

I just picked it up again! I last played in December.

I'm in the midst of pulling down my Christmas room, and coming up with a new theme (I'm thinking kitchen) to replace it, and debating whether or not I'm going to renovate my Library room.

Spent last night sweeping away my paths (DA is updated to reflect this), to give the town a more natural look. Next comes doting on my villagers.

Summer seems to be when I pick this game up the most, and my bug/fish collection proves that fact as I'm still missing lots from the cooler seasons, boo!

I couldn't agree with you more.. I get scared about who's there and who's left, and I forget what condition I left my village in in the first place, ah! I think breaks are needed with anything though to accomplish more c: I get so burnt out on animal crossing sometimes that I get so lazy when I try to get some progress done.

one of my friends who had a powersave just backed up their town when they took a break, when they came back they said their town was a mess, so they just booted up the back up file they did before they left and everything was back to normal. makes me wanna try doing it but i only used my powersave for tomodatchi life and now i cant find it
