When you first played whatever was your first animal crossing game what was some funny stuff you did or mistakes you made when you first started?
List as many as you want but please do not make fun of other people becouse this thread is just for fun and not to make fun of others.


When I was walking around I accidentally ran into an animal and realized I can Push them and I pushed an animal not realizing they would actually react.

I though the weeds were turnips growing in the ground and they just needed to take a while in the ground and I also thought if I bury a turnip it would grow.

I sold my shovel to retail not realizing you can sell multiple things at once.

I once saw timbara the sheep on the little island thing in my town and I was like "I will save you!" (I did not say that out loud) and I then realized I cannot go to the little beach island and ever since then a villager has never been on that little island.

I thought that the mustache thing on shrunk's was his nose (and I am aware axolotis do not have noses) it was only a week or two ago I found out that it was a mustache (according to the wiki).

I thought you could send letters to npcs.

What were some funny stuff you did when you first started playing?

I didn't realize it would be so hard to grow another one and all I was thinking about was getting as much money as could on the first day. I didn't get another one to plant in my town until almost a year later when my husband created a town and luckily got cherries as well.

Not my first Animal Crossing game, but when I started playing New Leaf, I sold my first perfect cherry. I didn't realize it would be so hard to grow another one and all I was thinking about was getting as much money as could on the first day. I didn't get another one to plant in my town until almost a year later when my husband created a town and luckily got cherries as well.

Yeah i also sold my first perfect cherry.... Then i realised, Then in months another one grew. I just picked it and dug it

In New Town for NL I sold my perfect peach, completely unaware of what it was, and for a solid maybe 2 or 3 years, I didn't have any perfect peaches.

In CF when I made my character, the thought of resetting didn't cross my mind so I ended up with eyes I don't like and always cover them with a Mii mask or star shades. I also spelled 'Alasyon' wrong.

In WW I spelled Camren wrong and spelled it as Carmen. I also solved Acker City wrong but that was mostly due to the character limit. I also dpelled Liyetta weirdly, as Leata :/

Yeah idk I guess I was dumb with spelling. These were all when I was a kid too.

I restarted a town that had Ankha and Wolfgang as starters because I became obsessed with maps and was terrified I picked a bad map.

My first game was New Leaf, I started playing last May, so it hasn't actually been that long. I don't think I really made much mistakes but I was pretty chilled out at the start. One stupid thing I did was run everywhere, I didn't realise it would wreck my grass. Actually another thing is that I called my town Midna after my cat, I guess In thought I would have a chance to change it? I also use to restart my town constantly, though that part hasn't really changed...

- beat the heck out of my villagers with toy hammers
- run around, wearing out the grass
- cry because i got stung by a scorpion or tarantula, because i thought i had died (i was young and stupid okay)
- get bugs or fish for my villagers instead of food, which gets them mad

The only dumb thing I've done is trample all my black and blue roses because I didn't like them. They could have gone for tons of IGB so i kinda hate myself back then for doing that.

I used to sell fossils for bells instead of putting them in the museum. I thought that it was one of the most profitable ways to earn bells. Oof.

Since New leaf was the first animal crossing game I ever played,when I first started, I didn't know that the look of your face and eyes is dependent on how you answer three of Rover's questions on the train so I just spammed through those. I ate my perfect fruit because I didn't know what the perfect fruit was and how hard it would be to get another.

Same with the pushing villagers omg i felt really bad when julian got upset with me for moving him around huhu

I didn't know running destroyed flowers and i was having fun watching the petals go flying into the air and then one of my hybrids disappeared oops

I didn't know that talking to deirdre when she was trying to catch a cicada during the bug off would make her lose focus and get mad also :'(

And that when someone asks you for a fruit, coconuts don't count? And you don't get a second chance to give them a real fruit ((( I'm still not sure if bananas count as fruit though i'll try it the next time someone i don't like asks me for a fruit

I started with New Leaf. Some dumb things I remember are:

-I didn't know Rover's questions choose your face so my old town got stuck with faces I don't like.
-I didn't learn at first how to be sure villagers aren't moving away so I lost Pate early on.
-I hoarded so much that my old town became a junkyard. I'm still trying to clean it up because I lost motivation for years.
-At one point I thought I'd have to protect all my flowers from the harsh winter. I was considering storing them in the museum. I do not remember how I found out this wasn't true.
-I didn't think carefully when giving items to villagers, so Pate put something really dumb in her house and I regretted it.
-When December came, I actually tried to buy the presents the villagers mentioned. I had no idea Jingle was going to do that himself.
