When will Autumn/Fall look more obvious? (Southern Hemisphere islands)

Hey guys,

I'm currently playing the game from the Southern Hemisphere and it still doesn’t really feel like Autumn/Fall in the game (I'm playing in real time, not skipping ahead/changing the clock)

Autumn is March, April & May here (Australia), so we’ve only got 3 or so weeks of autumn left - yet the trees in the game aren’t even brown yet.
Autumn was always my fave time of year in other animal crossing games, I loved the obvious oranges/browns in the trees and ground, but autumn is nearly over and we still have green to yellowish trees/grass.. it kinda still looks like summer some days..

I realise the seasons will change gradually but this is almost too slow, winter is next up in 3 weeks, and I just thought it would all be more obvious...

When will the trees go brown/red/orange? Will autumn just extend into the winter months a bit as well?
I kinda assumed main features of a season (obvious colour changes) would occur mid-season, not when there’s only 2-3 weeks left :/

Somewhere around October! (Mid-October, I think?)
I tested to see if the hedges changes colors and it does have noticeable "fall" colors during that time.

OH CRUD I FORGOT YOU'RE AT SOUTH

but it should occur-mid season, yeah sorry i didn't read the south hemi part DASFFADsfd

i looked at a south hemi video and i think it's supposed to be more fall-like in april?

I TT'd to around the middle of may and my trees were starting to turn red. It seems like a short period of time for red trees but maybe winter in southern hemisphere won't get much snow?

Maybe it's like spring and the pink trees, that was around just about two weeks only, I think? But autumn really takes longer, so it would be a shame.

i verrrrry much agree with this. autumn is my favourite season in AC and i'm kinda disappointed with the lack of orange/brown. i just want a pumpkin city lol

have you been getting any mush DIYs? i felt like I got a couple of the autumn DIYs when i first started the game but the only mush DIY I have is the wreath isabelle gives you at the start of mushroom season

aww if the red trees come so late then it'll only last for a month and a half or so ): hoping winter snow starts later too then (kinda like how autumn began late) cos its kinda my least favourite season haha

I really hope the Southern Hemisphere still gets proper snow, as we definitely still get snow here in Aus (it has actually been such a cold autumn we're already getting snow in some areas haha).
I love how the seasons in the game change slowly, just a shame there wasn't more orange initially (like actual autumn when leaves quickly turn brown at the start then fall off for most of the season)..

I saw the blossom trees online from those with the Northern Hemisphere, so pretty :) A shame the dramatic changes don't last longer in the game as it really helps to keep things fun and interesting

Yep me too! Here's hoping for a short snow season.

Agree, I'm hoping that the red trees will stay for all of June though!

Oh same! I was so looking forward to at least a 3-4 weeks of orange! I just assumed it would change more drastically mid season.. hopefully the season might extend into winter a bit, as it would be cool to get at least two weeks of solid orange haha, like in all the photos advertised :P

I think I might be similar in regards to the autumn DIYs! I stumbled across a few around Easter time, and lately have found some more in the message-in-a-bottles on the beach, have 2 mushie related (spoilers!) the little "toad stool" that you can sit on, and also the mushroom neon lights (which look awesome and very customisable) :)

Southern Hemisphere definitely gets snow, my husband is a Southern Hemisphere time traveller

Awesome, that's cool to know :) The snow is also one of my fave parts of the game :)

That would be awesome if the red trees stay into June! I definitely wouldn't mind if the seasons merge slowly into each other like that, as that would be quite cool, just hoping the red/orange lasts a little longer than 1-2 weeks haha

I was wondering the same thing, since I have a southern hemisphere island and live in New Zealand.
If it is like spring with the pink trees, then I'm a little sad because I really wanted the pretty red trees to last a lot longer D:
Autumn is my favourite season in real life, so I love it in game as well. I have been getting the mushroom DIY's though, that makes me happy :3
