When do your parents send bells?

When do your parents (in ac) send you the 10,000 bells? Is it on your birthday or something? I can't remember.
I'm asking because I finally found a good map for my second town and I'm too lazy to earn bells.

I don't know what day(s) it is exactly but I know for a fact they do.
I remember TTing and I just randomly ended up with 10k from my Mom lol.

It was my birthday ingame a few days back, I didn't get money Come to that I don't remember what I did get from "mom". It was probably so underwhelming that it went straight to ReTail lol

I got some during the holidays, around Toy Day or perhaps New Year's. At the time, I had two characters in my town, and only my main character/mayor got some Bells and the other character got something else like furniture or clothes. So it's not definite that you'll get money.

You have a better shot getting money TTing across the 1st of any month since you get interest from the bank. I think the max interest you can get is 99,999 Bells, but that's better than the alternative.

On one of my files that i never use, only for paths, her parents send her $$ all the time. I'm guessing they send them if you barely have any bells. Not sure though
