When do you think they will add missing furniture/items?

So, I have heard there is alot of missing furniture and items in new horizons that was in past animal crossing games.
When do you think they will add these missing things in?
New Years time? Some sort of Nook's Cranny upgrade? Or some event/activity like a Cruise/Tourist Event to visit side islands with little shops?
What do you think?

probably in seasonal updates so my guess is fall area or winter. it'll be in small batches most likely cuz yeah thats how they seem to be doing things now. i just really really want them to add the sanrio villagers and items or just the villagers. lord knows nintendo has the cash to feed sanrio again for a collab like in NL and PC. i can't be the only one who wants them back. but back on point it'll be via updates most likely so sadly it's just a seasonal waiting game but it's also kinda fun cuz it's like a birthday gift every time we get new stuff.

Well, to be fair, there are no real "missing" items. Items that were in previous games are never guaranteed to be in newer games. That being said, since enough people have talked about them, I think they may add more at some point. But I also don't think it's a top priority for Nintendo right now. And calling them "missing" seems rather presumptuous.

Anyway, if I had to guess, I'm guessing we'll get some new stuff with the Nook's Cranny upgrade that will be coming eventually (I believe the upgrade itself has been data-mined). I'd definitely LOVE to have an island like they had in ACNL that you could take a boat to from the pier that would offer items like the cool beach tables previous games had. Or maybe we'll get more items through various events. Who knows? Either way, I'm choosing to fully enjoy what we have for now.
