when do you take down your Christmas tree and Christmas decorations?

I like to leave it up for the whole of December then I will take it down within the first week of January.
The day after New Years.
Now that I think about it, I've never noticed or payed much attention to Christmas lights in the neighborhood disappearing. Rather, I just forget about them completely.

What's up with all the old topics getting bumped? Not that I mind, just seems excessive.
I take the tree down and all decorations like the first week in January. Like closer to the end. I put it up early though. I think it's such a waste to wait until December is almost over and then put it all up. That's such a hassle only to take it down a few days later.
