When do villagers ask to move out?

I'm sure this question has been asked multiple times but I can't seem to find much information about it. Maybe I'm just too lazy to look more into it, but instead I've just decided to make my own thread to ask. My first villager to move out was my starter Genji and he moved out after about a week and a bit of playing. Then after about 2 to 3 weeks Tucker asked to move out. It's now been 11 days since he did and I'm wondering if there is an average amount of days until somebody has the thought bubble and asks to move. Is there a minimum or a maximum amount of days until someone asks? I'm also wondering if someone who asks to move and you decline, asks you again after a few days or if it swaps to another villager. And if you do decline someone and it moves on to another villager, how long do you have to wait for someone since you declined someone else? If you can answer any of these questions, It would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thank you

I only had 2 move out requests and have been playing since launch. I think 2 per month seems about right if there's no TT'ing...
I denied my first request and the 2nd move out request came a few days later (probably about 4-5 days but I can't be sure... it definitely wasn't weeks though).
Ever since Zucker moved in on April 8th though, I've had no move-out requests whatsoever.

I think the average amount of days between a move-out is said to be about 14 days. So around every 2 weeks someone wants to move out!

I've been playing since launch and I've only had two villagers move out so far. The first one asked to move out after two weeks, and the second one two weeks after that.

Same here. i played since launch and 2 villagers asked to move out. I also had 1 campsite visit move in and replace a villager. I don't know if that matters

I've had 3 move out requests since my island began on March 20th, and I don't time travel.

I also had more than two requests already, I'd four, and maybe even five? I also don't TT and started 20 March.

Edit: not different villagers though, I can't remember who but there was one who asked twice

So far I'm seeing a trend of 5-6 days when you say no to the previous request, and 2 weeks when you say yes. I've been tracking it in my game because I'm a nerd. I started playing March 20.

So based on this I'm expecting someone else to ask to move somewhere around May 4th.

Nice!
Do you happen to know if this is influenced by villagers moving out because of another moving in (when you have 10 plots I mean)? Say that one villager through the campsite will move in, meaning another moves out because of space, will it then influence move out requests?

I don't TT but Groucho wanted to move out after 3 or 4 days he moved in. Imagine my shock. At first I didn't care about him but then I started to like him and talked to him sometimes. I mostly completely ignore Biff and he's still there btw. I forgot if I had build the last plot or not the day when Groucho thought about moving out but the next day Pietro appeared at the campsite the same day Groucho was in boxes. I invited Pietro and tried to convince him to live on my island but he refused. Very strange...

This is the experience I've had. At first the 2 weeks sounded strange, but then I realized I've only said yes to one villager and that was my very first request. Since then I've consistently said no until my very last request and 5-6 days in between sounds right. Since I just said yes to someone guess I'm in it for the long haul 😂

I've had two requests -- the first one I said no (although I genuinely like the villager, if I knew how long it'd take for someone else to request to move, I would have said yes). The second villager asked a week or two later, and I said yes to her request.

I am also having a villager move out tonight using campsite, so if that effects move out requests then I likely won't be getting a request for awhile. I can't wait for one, though. I want to experience island hopping so I can actually get the dreamies on my wishlist (I only have 4 out of 10 so far.)

I had 5 requests, it’s possibly random when villagers move out.

Once every 2 weeks. Very random whoever decides to move out though!

To the best of my knowledge I don't think this changes anything, but I've not thoroughly tested it because I don't TT. When Sherb asked to move out the first time I had had new villagers come in everyday March 30-April 03. The March 30 move in was from the campsite.

Also, my previous prediction that I would have someone ask to move out around May 4 was correct - Wolfgang asked this afternoon (May 4). Why couldn't it have been someone I actually want to move? I'm starting to think that Sherb and Wolfgang secretly hate me. 😂

Following this pattern I'm expecting to see the next request around May 9th.

Awesome, thank you so much! Also, looks like they do secretly hate you ahaha. Hope for you that other villagers will start requesting too!

Usually around every 2 weeks a random villager will ping you to move. Sometimes it's a bit longer than 2 weeks but it's around that amount of time.
