I got my license on the 14th of never. My sister is old enough to drive now, but she doesn't have a license just yet because it's pretty pricey to get lessons and stuff while you're younger. I don't think I'd want to get in a car with her behind the wheel when she gets her license.

I realized that when we went on the bumper cars together at the fair.

I got mine when I was 18. I got my permit and took driver's ed on time, but I put off getting my license for like 2 years bc I was scared to take the test, and driving just made me nervous in general. My dad made me get it eventually out of necessity and I actually passed the test pretty easily haha. Now I'm an old pro B)

nobody is good at directions before they drive, it's once you start driving and getting used to places you go often that you begin to get a good feel for directions

Got my license when I was 18 and even then I didn't drive too much, I just took the class the summer before I took my test and drove a lot then and got my license to be done with it. I passed on the first try (Barely, but it's still passing lol), and I didn't worry about driving around too much and I only stepped it up when I was ready to do so. At first I would only drive like 10 minutes away to go to my martial arts classes, then later I began to drive more and further away and to unfamiliar places until this past summer I drove to a town an hour and a half away (With someone else in the car though lol), and drove around where my boyfriend lives when I went to visit him (Which is a place I've never been to before). It took a lot of time, nearly 2 years (Aka this summer), for me to feel comfortable about driving haha

Well my friend is turning 17 soon and she says she really wants to get driving lessons and stuff. I mean, I'm 16 so I still have to wait another year until I can, but at the same time, I'm terrified of doing it. There are so many idiotic drivers on the road, so I really don't want to have to encounter one, even though I know I will. I'll probably drive so slowly and carefully, though, which I don't mind. ;; I'd much rather that because at least I know I'll be safe. I don't know if I will learn to drive as soon as I can, I'll think about it. I mean it's expensive as it is, anyway! I don't think my family could afford it, but yeah. I mean I'll have to someday since I don't want to keep getting the bus. I'll just ask my friends for lifts everywhere, haha. ;;

I didn't get my license until I was twenty. Funny story bout how I almost hit a car during a little snow fall but manage to miss it and the tree that was close to the curb. Almost like Crazy Taxi style. I'm a better driver now....

I have a friend like that who is terrified to drive... I wonder if there is a phobia for that?

I get lost even when I know where I am. I'm pathetic. After a point it stops bothering you and you have no problem turning around.

I was only in a driveway and nobody got hurt or anything but I faint a lot so there's just the fear that next time I'll actually be on the road or something
I know where he hid my license and I have used it behind his back but yeah it was p scary

I got my license when I was nineteen. It sucked not getting it earlier, but I was fortunate enough have friends who'd be willing to drive me around and my brothers and parents would give me rides to school or work when I needed it. It wasn't such a big deal. My Dad taught me to drive, and I failed the driving test the first time because I went the wrong way on a one way.

I think it was 16/17 because they only let Juniors and Seniors park at high school and I didn't have a job in high school so there was no other reason.

No license, but I got my permit on the day of my 15th birthday. I missed a lot of school that day. I was only on campus for first block and I didn't come back 'till last block. I didn't want the permit as much as I wanted to skip school that day, though.

I got mine at 18, just a couple months before I turned 19.
I took driver's ed when I was 15 and passed but was recommended I took private lessons - I'd never driven before I took the class. Afterwards, I just kept my permit and didn't drive - both my parents' cars had manual transmission and they weren't going to let me get my license while I was in high school anyway.
The Christmas after I finished high school my parents made sure I had enough money in my back account to buy myself a car. Shortly after that, I bought my Ford Escort and took my private lessons.
I had to take my driver's test twice, I had a little trouble.
