Smash Bros When did you first play?

yo actually think it was hollywood video too. i remember every kid in my neighborhood came over to play i was the coolest kid ever for a week
I miss those simple Smash 64 days.
I remember my cousin would always wreck me with DK because he had that grab that would carry you off the course if directed and I was so dumb I didn't know how to avoid it lol.
Then when I wised up, I would retaliate with Yoshi troll neutral B egg swallow on the edge of the course gg.

I first watched my friends playing it in 2008, but didn't actually play with them until 2009. I finally bought it in 2010 (Specifically February 17, still have the receipt). I played Luigi when playing with my friends in '09, but bought the game to play as Olimar since I got obsessed over Pikmin right before Christmas. But I played as Dedede when I first got the game and played at Distant Planet. The song was the AMAZING Environmental Noises! Woo! I also put it on an infinite stock match for some reason lol. I also rarely played as Olimar, I mostly used Lucas and Toon Link.

I remember playing it on my cousins gamecube and they even let us borrow it. They couldn't unlock game and watch so we did it for them and I skipped brawl since I didn't have a wii

I had the original N64 Smash but I don't remember getting it...Or why I had it. I just liked it.
At the time I barely even knew who any of the characters were outside of the Mario, Pokemon and Kirby games (which is like half the cast...But still). I think I may have gotten it just because Mario and Pikachu were on the cover (I don't remember Kirby being on the cover).
I've always mained Kirby.

I first thought my 1st Smash game was Brawl, but it was really the 2nd one!!
*cough* Special 3DS demo that never expires *cough* :c Yeah that's sad I really want to get the full 3DS game or maybe the Wii U version (I'm having trouble deciding).
I do remember being at someone's house when I was younger though and they played Melee a lot. I never got to play though, just watched. I never had a GameCube of my own unfortunately...

One day between 1999-2001, I played the original Super Smash Bros. from my cousin's house and I pretty much unlocked every character but Ness. It's difficult to unlock him, because we had to do Classic Mode on Normal without losing a life. I did it as Yoshi, and proceed to unlock Ness. Problem is, he's quite a tricky character to defeat. That's pretty much all I remember playing the first few times, but I didn't owned it until 2010.
In fact, the first Super Smash Bros. I ever owned is Super Smash Bros. Melee. Boy, I was addicted for a couple of years since December 24th 2001, especially in the first few weeks. I would immediately come back again and again. I unlocked pretty much everything in the game now but a few trophies and beat everybody with Yoshi, even though he's a terrible character in the competitive scene.
