When Animal Crossing gets real!

Ever had an event, letter, talk with a villager, that hit super close to home? Like coincided with real life stuff going on?

I like never check my mail... and resort to just throwing away all the letters and scrapping the bunk gifts I get lol! well today I was cleaning out the mail because the beeping annoys me and I had two letters (that weren't goodbye letters) without gifts, which I thought was strange... so I actually looked at them.

Vic and Roscoe (the cranky, grumpy, borderline "rude" villagers) sent me the most heartwarming letters that made me like get sentimental. Both talked about how we were such good friends, that they are here for me and I don't get a lot of that in my real life!

I have been getting more and more anxiety lately due to Grad School applications, other applications, emotional family stuff, and overall not having people around to talk about it with who are willing to listen and help me. So to have these two letters from out of nowhere (I've never seen letters like these) really made me feel comforted! I know its pixels in a game, but still when you are having a bad time in real life its nice to get something even from a game!

I could see how stories like these could be eerie and creepy! I like to hear those too

D'awww i have 2 crankies and they are the center of my heart... Fang and Bruce... Fang because he is a epic wolf and Bruce because he symbolizes my old band teacher that died of a heart attack... i got bruce 2 days ago and i already love him and am talking to him as much as possible and showering him with gifts <3

I never like to think of my villagers as "just pixels" long story short scammers on another game i play steal your items and call them "just pixels" so its kinda rude for me to call them that.... in my opinion they are some of the only "pixels" i can trust because some people on the other site are just plain rude and annoying

That's really sweet!
I love getting letters from my villagers. Merengue always sends the sweetest notes when I need it the most. It's like the game knows... but I think a more recent note I got was from Beau. It was a really goofy note, something about him having barbecue for dinner, and how there was sauce on the letter, and it smelled good, or something.
I just thought it was kinda funny, because we ordered out from this barbecue restaurant that day, and I happened to be eating when I opened the letter.

I never read letters either as a practice, but each time I do the same thing happens to me! Someone will articulate some heartfelt gem that reaches my soul and fills it with butterflies and sunshine. That is why we love AC, yes?

Aawww. Vic is such a sweetheart. I love him. He's been sending me nice letters as well.
I tend to feel quite along and isolated. So, it's always great seeing unsolicited/encouraging letters.
I'm really happy that they sent you those and it made you feel a lot better. One of the many great things about this game.

Okay, so this isn't really a heartfelt story, but it certainly coincided with real life One time, Dizzy said this to me:

...and I thought it was funny, because I actually had eaten noodle soup earlier that day XD

And another time before that, I wasn't feeling very good, and Dizzy tried to guess what I was gonna eat for dinner based on what my face looked like And he guessed noodle soup, which I thought was pretty appropriate x3 It's like... how the heck does this elephant always know when I'm eating soup?? XD

The crankies are some of the sweetest villagers you can have. Chief is such a good friend, and the normal villagers sometimes send letters that I love toom also the peppies. Rosie has sent many letters about how much she loves being my friend, how she'll never forget me when she's famous, how she'll dedicate a song to me, and much more. It always feels nice to receive a letter like that from a friend. Even if they're just a little animal in a virtual world.

The 2nd letter you got I got a little after I had a really bad irl break up. I thought it was really cool they would add such heart warming things to the game. Sure,like you said,its just a game,but it really means something when you are upset. Everybody goes through tough times so its nice to see something encouraging! I know the feeling of stress, college semester just started for me and I'm late on registering classes I've been binge playing New leaf to calm myself down haha
