what's your opinion on the villager tiers??

I personally think it's a little annoying and pointless to "rank" the villagers :/ Yeah some are more popular than others but I don't see how you can accurately rank villagers since every player has different opinions about them

I think it's helpful for cycling. Of course, they can't be 100% accurate because not everyone feels the same way about the villagers, but it gives you an idea of how much your villager is worth to the general public.

It's helpful if you have a cycling thread (one of those people being me). It's definitely not 100% accurate since it's opinion based and not everyone has the same opinion.

The reason villager tiers exist is to help cyclers sell villagers for a reasonable price based on the demand for that villager.

It's a double-edged sword. It helps people who cycle to know which villagers will get them the most business, but it also sometimes makes finding less popular villagers a bit of a headache. Some shops exist to help out those who want tier 4 or 5 villagers, but others strictly sell tier 1 and tier 2. You might find what you're looking for in one day, or it might take a week or longer.

I was thinking of it in terms of the community in general, not just those who are selling or cycling. I personally don't pay any mind to how popular a villager is, tbh, but that's probably partially because I don't cycle or sell regularly

Its kind of annoying to me. I have an amateur new cycle town and some of the villagers i think are cool and worth something are most of the time classified as the lower tiers. I got pashmina the other day and was surprised she wasn't higher up cause she's cute af lol.

I think Alexi goes through the "Looking For" thread here as well as auction threads and cycling threads and uses those to determine how popular villagers are. So it's not "opinion based"; it's based on which villagers people say they are actually looking for.

it used to be to alright but the one created by alexi got me like ''why the fk is this villager on tier 1?''. not that im saying shes doing a bad job but are you sure this villager should be on tier 1? like theres so many villagers in tier 2 that look so much better than the villagers in the current tier 1. stitches dropped to tier 2? really?

I pay no attention to tiers. I don't rank my villagers by popularity or price, just by how much I love them.

before i give my piece, im gonna start off by saying i actually like a lot of bottom tier villagers, i have three tier fives- annalisa, shari, and yuka- as dreamies, i honestly just get what villagers i like. tbh i actually like the tier system in that respect bc those villagers were super easy to get. i dont hate the tier system at all, and im not offended or disappointed that some of my faves are bottom-tier, nor do i think we should be rid of the tier system. i think its a useful tool for AC economics

its a matter of demand. the higher the demand, the higher the price you can charge bc theres likely someone within that demand group who is willing to drop a bunch to get what they want. thats capitalism, baby!

personally, im more bothered by people who feel superior for having the mentality that ALL villagers deserve to be Equally Loved or something. villagers are fake, theyre as good as objects, no villagers feelings are hurt for being in tier five. i dont really think tiers are a problem, the biggest issue is people letting themselves be personally offended by the system. thats just my two cents tho

I like the villager tier list. sometimes I think 1villager is to low on the tier list Imo. But it is helpful for cycler like me.

I like the villager tier list although I dont really follow it. Mainly because I dont have many high tiered villagers as dreamies. More power to those that do, I just naturally like the unpopular or lower tiered villagers

yea I'm in no way offended by it at all, people are allowed to have their own opinions lol.

I think I was mostly just amazed with how much people are willing to pay for top-tier villagers when in my opinion the tiers actually mean very little. Like I've seen people paying tens of millions for Julian or Marshal and it just??? Doesn't make sense to me hahah...I'd never pay that much for a villager but to each his own

The Tiers are not based on appearance, the Tiers are based on how well Villagers are being sold//traded//given away, or which are being voided~ It's not at all opinion, it's more how the villagers fair in the Villager Trading Plaza ;u;
