Hi everyone! I’m still new around here, but I was curious about something fun.
Whenever I’m in deep, hyper focus mode, especially on HHN, I always find myself reaching for my comfort food. For me, it’s grilled cheese and tomato soup. Something about cozy vibes in-game mixed with cozy vibes in real life just feels perfect.
So I thought it’d be fun to ask what is YOUR favorite comfort food while playing? Do you treat it like a little cafe visit and sip tea or coffee with your game?
I’ll even turn this into a friendly poll to see what the Bell Tree’s favorite comfort food of choice is
Can't wait to see the results, and maybe this will give me some new snacking ideas 😅

I usually will do chips, then followed by something sweet. I usually takes break in between to clean my hands and whatnot.

Don't get me wrong I love soup, but I don't see myself eating soup was I play a game. That's a bit hearty and probably messy. I usually don't eat when I play games anyway, but it would probably be something small I could handle and not leave a big mess since I'm going to be holding a controller or something. And I don't want that sticky/greasy/whatever.

Maybe chocolate, gummibears lol, or pretzels. I don't know, but if it's a movie or show that's entirely different. I don't have to be holding anything that's going to have my dirty fingerprints all over it.

If I have a snack it’s usually chips or chocolate. Usually Doritos or original potato chips. Usually drink water or Mountain Dew. Most of the time I am too focused on playing to eat much.

Grilled cheese and tomato soup is a combination I've never tried.

Only drinks for me, often iced coffee or cappuccino, or spiced cider.
I don't want to have my hands dirty or crumbs all over the console.

Something small and easy to grab, for sure. And I'll wash my hands before using the controller again. I also enjoy sipping either coffee or tea, depending on the time of day, while playing.

For what it's worth, I love the combination of tomato soup and grilled cheese, otherwise. Such an OP comfort food.

I haven't played Animal Crossing in so long, I don't even remember what I snacked on while playing.. there's a good chance it was probably Tim Tams or chocolate or chocolate chip cookies though.

When playing the game or at all? I feel like I would need two hands with either of those, but it's a good combination! You should give it a try. Or skip the soup and put a tomato slice on the grilled cheese. It's really good that way. Again this would be way too messy when handling a controller 😆

I like pickled jalapenos slices in my grill cheese but I saw plenty of people dipping them in tomato soup, made me curious although I'm not a fan of tomato soup. I wouldn't eat those while gaming with my switch though.

Just drinks while playing with the switch, I don't want to put dirty hands on it. With the computer it's another story, I eat way too much, I have chocolate eggs and candies hidden in my drawer. I also like crunchy stuff like Ding Dong (mixed nuts, crackers)

Yeah tomato soup in the can isn't that great. It wasn't until I made it homemade that it tasted a lot better. Could just be fresh tomatoes and that I opted to not use any preservatives that are loaded into soups and many other things. I know a lot who say they don't like tomatoes since they don't have much of a taste and getting some at the markets it's so true. They just taste like water.

But growing them fresh off the vine it's like night and day. I get so many if it was possible I'd share them all with everyone here.

But yeah I can't think of anything that I usually snack on when playing games. I'm more likely to have snacks when watching movies/shows then playing games.
