Do you have a particular hybrid flower that for whatever reason you just can't get to spawn? Like, you've been watering the parent flowers forever and ever and the desired hybrid just won't spawn?

Mine is purple pansies. I have a FIELD of hybrid reds that just keep spitting out more reds, and even a white pansy recently! It's at least an inventory full of hybrid reds.
I recently coaxed some black cosmos to spawn out of a similar field of orange cosmos, and finally made my chic cosmos wreath today :D
(Meanwhile, a black rose spawned in a completely unattended patch on my 3rd level... Oh, RNG)

Purple Hyacinth. I got a blue rose before I got one. Only recently got a purple hyacinth to pop up, now I've got tons of them. Had a similar issue with Black Cosmos as well.

My white whale were black cosmos and purple mums...I caved and just bought em >< I haven't even begun pansy breeding because on my first Island I would get nothing and I'm having war flashbacks just thinking about it...just gonna buy the hybrids tbh because I don't have much open space anymore for cross-breeding flowers anyways LOL

Early in the game I really wanted green mums but was having troubles getting some. I ended up taking two from my friend and breeding them, now they're everywhere. Like all my other hybrids, they've also started popping up in natural flower fields that I don't even touch lol.

I think the only hybrid I'm missing at this point is the blue rose?

I haven't tried to breed all the hybrids but it took me ages to get a purple hyacinth. I just got a purple pansy and I wasn't trying to. It just showed up next to a bunch blue ones, didn't even know they made purple ones. I'm trying to get that one to breed now, My big issue now is blue roses. I've got 5 hybrid reds now but they refuse to spawn a blue. I know I can buy them buy I really wanna do it myself especially since I've gotten all the way to hybrid reds.

The only two hybrids I’m missing at the current moment are the purple tulips and blue roses, I’m pretty sure I’ll get a purple tulip any day now. Blue roses on the other hand will probably take me a while, hopefully I’m at least on the right path breeding path!

Mine was/is the blue pansies; I only have one right now. Now it is the purple tulips and purple pansies; I’m honestly not trying too hard right now because I don’t know what to do with the flowers that I have.

Mine was purple pansies. I was able to breed one which I put in my rainbow garden, but I could never get another one despite watering the same flowers every day. I eventually bought some so I could decorate with them.

The purple windflower was mine but I’ve had all the flowers for months. I’ve restricted myself to just black, blue and purple flowers for my “garden” area in my forest and green mums everywhere else in the woods. I’m a bit more lax in my visitor center, though.

Mine is purple windflowers, eventually it spawn on our 2nd island and I just started cloning from that point.

purple hyacinth! it took forever just to get the orange ones and at some point I just gave up and bought some from a user here. I might have waited longer if they weren't needed for the hyacinth lamp DIY

For me it was the blue rose. I have been trying for months to get one. I finally got one one yesterday.

blue roses! having such a hard time with them. also haven't got purple pansies but i haven't actually tried yet xD

It was the black cosmos and purple hyacinth. I bred my own blue roses before caving in and getting those two off of someone else, cloning them to my heart's content.

Green mums. I have giant patches of purple and hybrid yellows near my pond area, water them every day, and still can get any to spawn. I really have considered just buying or trading with a friend, but I also really want to get them myself and I'm stubborn xD

I forgot about purple hyacinths! I was trying to breed those feverishly for weeks, for the same lamp DIY I assume everyone else was trying to make. They're everywhere now (hyacinths being my native flowers).

It seems like there are a lot of "one off" hybrid stories here. I usually let new hybrids sit next to their parent flowers until a 2nd hybrid pops out. Either another hybrid from the parents, or in a lot of cases, the new hybrid color should be able to reproduce with the parent to make another hybrid. Then you can go on just breeding the 2 of that new hybrid color.

Cloning is far more effective if all you're looking to do is duplicate. I get roughly 4 blue roses a day (sorry @Matt0106 ) by simply cloning them.
