So, we're all on TBT because we're Animal Crossing fans, but does that make it everyone's favourite franchise? Let's find out!

My #1 favourite Nintendo franchise has always been Pokémon. :D

I know for many people their answer will be Animal Crossing, so if that's your answer please also list your number two choice!

My favorite is also Pokemon. It was my first franchise I became really connected to. I played Mario World and Super Mario on NES and SNES, but those were things that at the tender young age of 5-7 that I didn’t feel a strong bond with. Other than the fact that they were cool and I could play them. For me though, it started with Pokemon Yellow and a teal GBC, which I still have. I don’t care how old I am, I will always love Pokemon 💖

I think I may have seen another thread like this before...

Anyway, my favorite Nintendo franchise is Pokémon as well! :D Their games are the only RPGs I enjoy the most, whereas the other RPGs I've played are too overwhelming for me. Also, Kieran!! every time someone mentions Pokémon to me, it always goes back to Kieran...

hmmmm I wonder what my favourite Nintendo franchise is

Mine is probably Zelda. If you consider Pokémon a Nintendo franchise, that’s second, and if not, Splatoon.

Pokémon is my favorite, but it's made such a profound impact on my life so much that I think it's cheating to call it my favorite Nintendo franchise, as it's my favorite franchise of all time. To that end, I would also say The Legend of Zelda is up there.

It’s tough, but my favorite would have to be Mario. I used to read about the lore and characters on the wiki, watch longplays on YouTube, and try to get as far as possible in the games. I get the newer releases if they appeal to me.

Even if we consider Animal Crossing, Mario is still my favorite. This is true, even if it’s restricted to the main series only since Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine are part of the main series.

Zelda and Pokémon are also pretty good.

Probably Mario, Zelda, and then Metroid. I like AC obviously, and it's one of those games that I can just chill and play, but it just depends on my mood. I personally don't like the whole approach they did with Zelda with botw and totk and I hope it doesn't become the staple for the series to follow going forward because I'll just drop the series.

This is a tough one for me. A lot of times it depends on my mood and fixation. Some of the franchises, I’ve only played a few of the games too; I love Fire Emblem Three Houses a lot and want to say that is my favorite or one of them but I’ve only completely played that, Awakening and Fates. Pokemon is the franchise that I had played the most of the games. Atm, I might say it is my favorite, but the noticeable drop in quality makes me pause a little about that. I love Splatoon 3 a lot (the multiplayer mostly) but I haven’t played the other Splatoons; I have Splatoon 2 too but haven’t gotten to playing it much yet. Animal Crossing has been a favorite but I go through phases with that where I play it a lot and then I don’t play it at all; the only ones I played a lot were NL, HHD and ACNH.

Right now, I guess my favorite franchise is Pokemon and my second favorite would be Splatoon.

I think it's pretty obvious. Now I don't usually play the multiplayer in Splatoon, which is what is heavily advertised, but it's still my favorite franchise. I love the characters, music, and story. If there wasn't any single player story, I am not sure I would have tried playing it at all.

Before around 2020, my favorite franchise was Kirby. It might just look like a game series for kids but there's a lot of lore and sometimes darker elements. There's a bunch of things you wouldn't even find out by just playing casually. You have to really pay attention and in some cases be trying to 100% complete the games. There's even lore that only makes sense if you played other games in the series. Whoops, I didn't mean to ramble about Kirby.

Zelda has always been and will forever be my favorite Nintendo franchise. They were some of my first games, and I enjoy them even to this day!
