What's your favourite game of all time?

That's really hard to say, there are so many! It could be Super Metroid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the list goes on! Hard to choose just one.

absolutely paper mario ttyd! though a game that will forever be right there with it is wind waker!! two games I just cannot get tired of.

Well we all know that Super Mario 64 is the best game ever made

But aside from that, I really like pretty much all the core games in that series, the gen 3 Pokemon games (and the remakes), MK64/Wii, Animal Crossing GCN, Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom, and the original Spyro trilogy.

Don't laugh but as a kid I flipping loved the Spyro games. I'm actually really excited for the remakes. Year of the Dragon was probably my most favorite.
If anyone laughs then they're wrong :lemon:

Here are my top five:

5. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Nintendo 64 - Controversial, perhaps, to pick a favorite Zelda game. But I was the exact target audience age for a Zelda game with the best looking, mega-realistic 3d graphics I've ever seen! Video games have come a long way. But I never thought they could get more advanced than this one.
4. Shadow of the Colossus - Playstation 3 - I was in wonder of this game with just sixteen villains. The world felt so real. The costs felt so real.
3. Portal - Playstation 3 - This game changed the way I look at the real world. Both in the simplicity of the premise, the complexity of the premise, and the idea that a game with two characters could be so deep. Who knew I could care about an inanimate object* so deeply?
2. Halo: Combat Evolved - X-Box - The first time I played this game, I had no idea it was actually a horror game. The twist halfway through was one of the most satisfying story decisions in a game. The multiplayer is still the best of the series.
1. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Computer - No game has ever had me believe that I was placed in an entirely different universe the way this game did. I still listen to the soundtrack for a blast of nostalgia. Better on the computer than X-Box because of the insane load times. Still the best in the series.

*Poor Aperture Science Weighted Companion Cube

Gamecube: Spyro a hero's tail, animal crossing and Spongebob: battle for Bikini Bottom and Harvest Moon.
Gameboy: probably Pokemon Emerald.
Nintendo ds: Pokemon Heartgold and AC Wild World, i've also played a lot of Nintendogs in my childhood.
Nintendo 3ds: AC New Leaf and Pokemon X
Nintendo Switch: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Macbook: Sims 3

I really can't choose one game. I've put the most hours in all the Pokemon games and Animal Crossing. Spongebob has the most nostalgia.

2. Gran Turismo 4 The Real Driving Simulator Yes, I love racing. In that game, there are so many different varieties of cars and racing events you could participate in. There are rally events, endurance races, or regional events. The driving physics may not be accurate in today's standards but the fun mattered the most to me. You could literally crash into a wall head on at 300 km/h and your car would be totally fine with no damage whatsoever. It was fun winning a top speed race with a fully tuned road car against actual race cars. Oh, for some reason, the jazz music being played in the background really fits this game!

1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess THIS game is my all time favourite and is my first 3d Zelda game. Nostalgia plays a factor to it but there's always something to it that just attatches to me very well. It could be the music. It could be the story. Oh, did I mention that Midna is the best companion you could have in a Zelda game?

Title says it.

Mine would have to be either The Sims 3 or The Simpsons: Hit and Run

You get a big plus 1 for mentioning the Simpsons hit and run, that's one of my favorites on xbox. I honestly have played too many games to pick one over the others so I've made a list of true gems:

The mass effect trilogy
Animal crossing New Leaf
Mario and Luigi partners in time
Monster Hunter 4
Monster Hunter Portable Third
Soma
To the moon
What remains of Edith Finch
The bioshock trilogy
The halo trilogy
The first three fallout games and fallout new Vegas
Borderlands 1 and 2
The binding of issac rebirth
Metro 2033
Metro last light
Resident evil 4, 5 and 6
Hollow knight
Gears of war main titles
And I've probably missed like 50 games but my brain hurts...

The Simpsons: Hit and Run

I haven't heard that game referenced in a long time : O. Hit and Run is absolutely the best licenced game and best GTA style game out there.

I can't claim a conventional favorite because I rarely play games more than once. I think Majora's Mask, Undertale and Yume Nikki are the most provacative/artistic I've played, with Undertale being the most fun to actually play of those.

It's kinda hard to pick only one game, so here's my Top five (in no particular order):

- Kirby Air Ride (I can't believe that Nintendo never made a sequel for this game)
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Luigi's Mansion
- WarioWare Smooth Moves
- Animal Crossing New Leaf

I don't know if I could narrow it to just one. I'm going to go with three.

Paper Mario. I grew up on Mario games, but this one really was my favourite.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Great story, great gameplay, and you get Epona! What's not to love?

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. I'll admit it, I have a bit of a thing for the professor. I also love puzzles, so the series is up my alley. This game have some background on the characters (right up there with Azran Legacy) that sucked me in.

ohhh boy, that's a toughie.
if we're talking about total time spent, technically... spore. i have over 600 hours currently on steam for it, but my computer refuses to close it and has been for about a week now. realistically, i've spent about 120 or so hours on it; just the steam version though, which i've had for about two years. to be honest, it's the nostalgia factor.
on my old origin account from when i was little? i can't dig it up as of now, but that's definitely between 300-1500 hours of spore in the span of a bit over 3 years. talking a single game, technically my "favorite" would be spore.

now, on favorites generally? well, like i said, a toughie. i'm just gonna go by the three main systems i use. time for sperging

as for PC, it's definitely lisa: the painful, which i discovered late last year. it's definitely not for younger audiences, but it deals with tons of themes including addiction, sexism, obsession, and trauma, some of which hits pretty close to home for me. it deserves wayyyy more attention than it gets, in my opinion. there's lots of choices and it doesn't want you to go one route or the other. unlike other games with routes like undertale, which try to urge you to the "good" route, there's no real push to either side here as humanity has pretty much completely given up. you can sacrifice your party members, and i mean actually sacrifice them, you can give them away as a choice. as an example, the first choice of this kind is either the first member you have in your party, or one of your arms, hindering combat. the gameplay is typical for an rpg maker game but it has its own flair that makes it unique.

as for PS4, i have to be an absolute normie and say persona 5. the gameplay is super fast paced yet there's a long story and lots of links and interpersonal relationships to choose and further, giving it a lot of replay value despite being over 100 hours long. though i'm pretty over-critical of things and the writing is pretty subpar at times to someone who's extremely stingy about that kind of thing, but chances are you won't really notice unless you're big into writing or analyzing stories.

3ds is super tough since i have a very large library of games for it, but at the moment i'm super fixated on new leaf. i don't feel like i have to explain this one considering the forum i'm on tbh
