I like drinking tap water in the Bay Area (especially my home) because it taste good. (It has this unique taste)
When I went down to LA and tried their water, it tasted really bad.
(I had a discussion with my AP Environmental Science classmates during class about the water)

Tap water depends where they get the water from, plus how the water company filter it as well..

My favorite brand is Alhambra & Fiji & Crystal Springs water.
Water I hate brand I hate the most. Arrowhead (taste so dry)

I never understand why people say "water is water". I can completely tell a difference in water tastes between brands and tap water from different areas. Personally, at least in my area of the UK, I hate the taste of my tap water. I tend to drink Evian water.

How naive

I only drink the finest purified rain water. =p

Tap water and bottled are huge differences. But as far as brands go, they're pretty much all the same. This thread is pretty silly.

Sorry, but I can't take how there is a thread with a question for everything in Brewster's Caf?, ahahahahahahaha

Ex: What is your favorite type of water? (Seriously), What makes you mad?, What is your grandmother's name?, etc...

I wouldn't call somebody a fool. Sure in developed countries the water from a tap is safe to drink, that doesn't necessarily mean that it tastes good or that it's perfectly clean.

I think "developed nation" pretty much implies one that has clean, potable tap water. Even without that, you can still buy a simple filter for cheap at a (pretty much) fixed cost. I was talking more economically, though. Bottled water quite literally costs 100 times what your tap water costs and is often derived from the same source. All you're doing is lining the pockets of beverage manufacturers who have literally manufactured a more expensive product out of what is already a cheap public utility. Not to mention the waste it produces unnecessarily, too.

What's more, this whole bottled water thing has only taken off, at least in the US and probably most developed nations, literally within my lifetime. Did tap water quality worsen? Almost certainly not. I can only speculate about what drives it, but I honestly consider it one of the most wasteful, irrational, and bizarre things that people regularly do. I'm not saying that there is absolutely reason to ever buy bottled water, there's often not other options available. What I'm talking about is frequent purchasing of something that you can have at 1/100th of the cost with just a little foresight. That's what's foolish.

I don't think they do these brands of water here ^^ We have Evian, Highland springs, Buxton and harrogate

I prefer tap water- I live in a hard water area which is better for your body (Contains more minerals) though it causes limescale to form in our kettle and boiler and it is a pain for washing with since soap doesn't lather up properly :/

Though when I won't have access to running water (Like when I'm stuck in the car for ages) or if I need a drink when I'm in college I drink Princes Gate water.

no u like bottled bongwater

lol

Of those three in the poll, the only one I have ever bought is Dasani. In fact, I don't think I've ever had the other two (I've heard of them, though). I would say that water is water (is water is water), but now I'm curious as to how different they could be! I might just do a comparison test with those brands.
