In English I like the peppies best. they're always friendly, enthusiastic, and seem to have the most dialogue. I liked peppies in past games, but now I absolutely love them! I also like what they've done with the crankies, making them more like sweet but grouchy old men, and the smugs, who now seem more like slightly-dorky, uncool dads more than anything else.

In Japanese, I like the snooties and lazies best. The snooties seem almost like uchis in that they're quite caring (but kind of in a no-BS way) and big-sisterly/motherly. They seem to care about you and give good advice. Lazies are really funny and just dopey and sweet in Japanese, and they don't talk about bugs at all! (Big bonus for me, lol.) Normal villagers also seem more talkative in Japanese, which I really like.

Cranky is my absolute favorite. I don’t dislike any cranky villagers afaik. Smug is great too.

Cranky was my favorite before NL and NH made them into kindly old men :/ Now my favorite is... probably uchi? I feel like I liked smug more in NL than I do in NH. I've also always loved Normals because, idk, i'm boring. Peppy is definitely my least favorite female personality.

Crankies were always my favourite, but since they've been toned down so hard I think my current favourites are lazy and smug.

Definitely lazy, I love how goofy they are and it's nice when they talk about leaving spaces on the benches for when their grandma visits :,) They're like well-mannered kids with weird obsessions lol

It was always lazy before NH--and I do still like them in NH and continue to have them as my favorite for every earlier game--but now they talk about bugs bugs bugs and more bugs way too much and it's made me less happy with them and less interested in having more than one Especially considering that in NL, the only mention they made of bugs was to tell you that their house doesn't have any! I think my favorite personality in NH now would be either uchi or peppy! It's a hard decision though, I really love snooties and smugs too.

Honestly, it's super hard for me to decide, but the snooties are so cute and the smugs are so funny because literally all the other personality types h at e them, but I really like the Uchi and Normal villagers! Lazies are cool when they're not talking about bugs

Wait, the lazies don't talk about bugs at all in Japanese? Are you serious? Now I wish I knew Japanese just so I could play ACNH in it lol, I don't know who thought all the constant bug talk was a good idea... But yeah I love the peppies and I'm glad to see appreciation for them! It seems some people find them obnoxious and over the top but I always find them really fun to talk to, and when I didn't have a peppy in NH for a little while I really missed the peppy dialogue. Now I'm so glad I got Peanut to move in.
