I think it's really cute how Marshal's room is so sloppy.
Besides character designs and faces they make, they differate the same villager personalities (like smug) through rooms that show actual different personalities, so he gives of another vibe than fancy fabulous (somewhat scary?!) Julian.

They're extremely rare pieces, that's the biggest reason why they go for so much.

But I personally like the set, not for my house, but for my boyfriend's house - he's such a slob, the set suits him perfectly.

I'm just surprised he sold the piece to you. They usually hold on to unique pieces and will only get rid of them when they swap it out for something else (and it usually then goes into their magic pocket).

I wasn't even sure if he would sell it. I just want to replace his furniture.

I like the color scheme a lot. And a lot of the furniture is sort of ordinary and matches a lot of different themes.

Too bad all of the cool themes are rare...

I freaking love it, the messy room theme is awesome *v* I wish it was cheaper, I'd love to get an extra Sofa and Chair ;u; but yes, I love it.. plus it's super hard to find (at least originally... internet makes everything easier, of course)

I've only ever seen the Sloppy clock in either of my Re-Tails. But I like the way the Sloppy set looks. lol, idk why though. I want to make a Sloppy room someday. someday

It's because the sloppy items can only be acquired through Re-Tail or the police station.

I think its somewhat cool. But the main aspect I like about it is it's rarity. I had a ton of pieces of it, but I sold them because I didn't know how rare they were. :/

i think you may have just partially answered your own question about Marshal
some people like Marshal because he's popular (or, seemingly "rare" because he's so sought-after that they often miss chances to get him).
