What's with the hate for the lower tier villagers?

It makes me sad how people pick on them, hit them, and just act like jerks when they move in. I know they're just characters in a game, but I can't help but feel bad for the unwanted villagers.

Even unwanted villagers need love. ˚‧??(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧??˚

Ehh...there are a few good ones that don't deserve the hate but at the same I can perfectly see why.

There are a lot of low tier villagers that are cool. But a few are horrifying *cough* *cough* Jambette *Cough*

I don't mind lower tiers, but I want all my dreamies in my town because they are, well, dreamies. The lower tiers are lower because less people like them. There are some that I do like though, like Cheri (who's moving). I also think Elise is pretty cute.

Not all unpopular villagers are bad. I actually like a lot of villagers that aren't very popular here. Buut then there's some villagers that are totally gross and I really understand why they aren't very wanted lol

in other words theyre ugly as heck
but regardless of tier if a non-dreamie moves in i beat it up with my weapons​

Some of them can be really cool, like Katt or Tabby or Biskit
but others like Jambette and Rasher are actually kind of terrifying.........

Every time I've had a low-tier villager move in I've ended up really liking them.

(Well, except Shari. I despised Shari. What tier is she anyway?)

Latest one is Bettina, who I was pretty much set up to loathe from the get-go. She's a mouse and I always disliked the look of the mice, she's a void movein, her house is pre-wrecked with piles of random junk in random places, and she's barged in on me just after I let my only cranky go and was expecting to get a new cranky via random movein. So yeah, I really should have a lot of reasons to resent her, but I'm already coming around to the idea. She looks like a raichu :3c

I'm never mean to villagers though... even Shari (spit!) got her bugs and fish and random items/fruit when she asked for them.

Half my village is populated with mid to low tier villagers. Some are really great like Sparro and Roscoe .

I like a lot of low tier villagers, I even have some in my town and love them to death. For me it just depends. I've had before Jambette and even though her lipstick is intense she was really sweet. Freckles who is currently in my town though is the bane of my existence cause I picked her up accidentally and she put her house right in front of mine. >/ I agree that no villager deserves hate just for being unpopular. They deserve hate when they force their way into your town and won't leave. Even if Maple is waiting for you in your sisters town.

I always felt really bad about Rasher. He's always been one of my favorites since the first game, and I'm really sad that he's in the lowest tier. (I mean he IS pretty creepy looking, but still. lol)

Yeah, most of the lower tiers aren't that cute looking, but I still feel sad that nobody may ever love them cause of their looks.

low tiers can be cool

mabye its the hipster in me but i hate it when i see towns with only tier ones.

My town has hopper (tier 4 but hes pretty much a tier 5) cube, ceila, yuka, goose and ken as low tiers. Molly just moved down to tier two again so i dont have any tier ones anymore (always thought the tier twos look better anyway)

I don't think anyone actually hates low tier villagers because they are low tier villagers... People just hate som villagers looks and don't want them in their town. It just so happens that the villagers most people tend to find ugly or don't want in their town are in lower tiers... Because people don't like them.

I don't really look at tiers when I like villagers. My towns are just a jumble of super popular and then the ones that I'm scrambling to take off auto void lists and lurking for until the wee hours of the morning so I can get my dreamies. I like villagers from all tiers. I wish lower tiers weren't so hard to find. As rare as the top tiers are in theory, it's just as hard to come by certain lower tiers. It's like if you're too popular/unpopular, you're nowhere to be found. If you're middle of the road, you're always available.

Many low tier villagers aren't hated, they simply are outclassed in the eyes of many. It's sad, but at the same time, it isn't bad. My favorite villager is Gladys, who is tier five, but I doubt if someone had her move in they'd cringe in horror. A lot of them are cuties that I and many others would love to have.
