whats with the bells here?

i can see that they represent monitary(sp) value, but how do you get them?
if youve got any other info on them i would appreciate it.
i looked around a bit, but didnt find much

you get them from posting and winning contests and the like

You do get them on a regular bases from simply posting, but there are other ways like selling things (for example, sigs) and winning contests... etc. There should be more things to do with them in the future too.
