Did anyone notice how much Gamefreak loves Reptiles?
Bulbasaur: Obviously a mini plant dinosaur
Squirtle: Turtle
Charmander: Lizard
Chikorita: It sorta.. looks like another plant dinosaur?
Totodile: Alligator/Crocodile
Treecko: Lizard
Mudkip: Well... more of an Amphibian
Turtwig: Another Turtle

Then you've got all the actual dragon pokemon that are very similar to reptiles.

Typhlosion is one of my favorite Pokemon.

Squirtle comes in a close second, though. Squirtle was my starter Pokemon the first time I played Pokemon Blue. ^_^
