What's the size of the villagers' houses?

Hello, I'm trying to move some houses in a grid pattern and I'd like to know if their houses change in size later on. Now they're 4x4.

They don't change! They stay the same throughout.

When lining up houses, remember that the front row is the empty-ish space in front where the stairs and sign are.

The game shows you how big their houses are both when you plant the very first 2 tents, and plot the next 8-houses.
