What's the most bad luck you've had in Animal Crossing?

Here's mine, that happened just now:
I finally got the final fossil I needed for the museum, and immediately after giving it to Blathers, my DS died :lemon: After charging it and getting the fossils again, I didn't get the same ones ;_; (rip my complete fossil museum..)

So, I had found Molly at the campsite. One day...before a villager left. Oof, that was painful. I forgot who that villager was but I hate them.

Haha I'd probably hate that villager too tbh, especially if it was a dreamy in the campsite

A few years ago in the summer I was running around at midnight trying to catch a tarantula. Find one, run up to catch it and my character trips over right next to it. You can imagine what happened next. :S

had a dreamie move right on top of my BLUE and GOLD ROSE GARDEN!

... i swear, having blue and gold roses in my town is bad luck!

This isn’t really bad luck but it’s more like carelessness. But I usually hide my pitfall seed in the way back of my town where the train station is so I never have to dig it up again. Well one time I went back there to get a Jacobs ladder that spawned nearby, and I fell into the pitfall, destroying my “hiding spot”. The next couple days I spent tirelessly searching for the new pitfall location so I can dig it up and hide it again, but I kept falling into the damn thing because I’d run behind a bush and it would be behind it. It took me a couple of in-game days to actually find it and dig it up successfully. Haha it gave me so much stress knowing it was somewhere other than my hiding spot :<

I think the worst luck I have had was my favourite villager moving out the ONE time I ever time traveled. Thankfully amiibo cards were invented shortly after that. Other than that, I can't remember any instances of bad luck I have had.

Oh nooooo ;_; I've been too afraid to catch tarantulas and scorpions for that sole reason. I still need them for my encyclopedia, but that's one of the only parts about AC that actually stresses me out lol That takes the in-game bad luck mechanic to the next level though, tripping next to a tarantula..

Most recently used my shovel on some flowers, rather than a fossil pucker.

Ahhhh I did that the other day, a fossil decided to be right in the middle my white/red rose patch.. I didn't think it through, and instead of picking the roses first I just went straight in. Destroyed a pink rose D:

I had Rasher place his house RIGHT infront of mine... little bugger

They always wanna place themselves in the worst places, don't they? I have QR codes placed everywhere in my town except some plots I want villagers to move into (My town is very messy ;_; It'll only be this way until I get all of my dreamies at least though..) and somehow Rosie still managed to plant herself right in-between town hall and the plaza.. I love Rosie, but why there ;_;

Aaa a blue and gold rose garden sounds very pretty though! I have pink and yellow roses (Considering gold.. I have the beautiful town ordinance though, I'd have to undo it for them.) Dreamies just love to ruin flowers or move into bad places. At least they won't ruin paths anymore, right?

I can see how that can give you stress though! I never thought about hiding it in the back of my town, that's a good idea.. I hate running into them, they're a bit annoying haha. It always seems to be my villagers that find them though.. Poor Bob ran into one right as I was about to dig it up. I wish you were able to cheer up villagers when they're moody, maybe by giving them a present or something ;o

Ooof, something similar happened to me in my old town. I was around 13, and figured out that you could time travel. I went a bit nuts with it (a kid with power) and Kitty moved out. I was never able to get amiibo cards though, they didn't sell them here (or at least I never saw them) and so I also didn't know about them. I got some when I bought Welcome Amiibo though! I really hope that when New Horizons comes out, the amiibos come back so I have a chance to collect them..

I've had several bad luck instances. One was when a dreamie was in the campsite and my town was completely full, so that didn't work too well. Another one would be digging up bushes and flowers by accident. My mom and I do that a lot, but we are more careful now. Finally, the worst of them all, villagers moving exactly in front of your house, three of them. X.X

I can't remember anymore than that. I've always been careful with everything else, so I think all of that would cover it. D:

It's terrifying the fact that they catch you. Flips the dynamic around. Not to mention the eerie sound of their legs shuffling :S

However once I figured out why I was getting mugged by them, catching them became a lot easier!

The small body part of the tarantula is not their head, its their back. The bigger part is their head. (Confusing I know. You'd think that it would be based off real life spider's anatomy but nope) Hope this advice helps you and anyone-else reading this :)

That feeling where you go to dig up a cross next to your gold rose (Villager proceeds to dig the flowers instead) xP

I really wanted Chevre to move because she was in a horrible spot in my town. So I looked up how to make them move and saw the time travel method. I tried time travelling for the first time and spent like a solid hour figuring it out. Turns out I did it wrong and my favourite villager Pekoe moved out instead //facepalm
I'm still so sad because I have to cycle through 16 villagers to get her back I'm at like ~12 now

When I first started playing new leaf and saw the tarantula for the first time, I panicked because I had no idea what the heck it was because I had no idea that there was tarantulas in this game and it was right in front of my house and it jumped at me and bit me. After that every time I found one, it would bite me so it took me several times before i finally figured out how to catch one.

Catching the Gar and having my game cartridge pop out right after I submitted it to the museum. Fate knew what it did.

Ahhh villagers moving wherever they want is the worst.. I had a particular penguin move right in my rose patch. I have QR codes everywhere to prevent them from moving into dumb places, but I figured I wouldn't need to put QR codes super close to the plaza (since it's the plaza..) I thought wrong. Rosie also moved in right between town hall and the plaza. I swear their houses are too close than they're normally able to move ;_; They just don't wanna go in the plots I set up for them..

Oh man this happened to me with a villager in my original town. I had just figured out how to time travel, and went completely nuts with it.. (not knowing the repercussions until it was too late lol) I wasn't trying to get a diff villager out, I was just a kid with power LOL so naturally I abused it

Ahhh yeah, I'm scared of spiders inrl so the tarantulas just popping up sometimes do spook me quite a bit. I still need to catch one for my encyclopedia but I don't want to xD

jg,hdsklgkl the Gar must've controlled fate to have you release it LOL

I had planned out my town from the very beginning, and when reaching the end of villager placement I figured out that one of the spaces for the final villager was IMPOSSIBLE to move to. So they moved somewhere else and ruined one of my flower gardens :(

In the past few weeks, I've accidentally dug up about 3 clovers while trying to dig up bamboo shoots. I don't know why I've gotten so clumsy lately.

That Clay didn't tell me that he's leaving back then, despite I had been talking to him everyday. No one else told me about it either. It took me like 2.5 years to finish 16 cycling stitching the few time between trades.

I’ve probably had worse luck, but this is what I remember. A couple days ago, I accidentally fell into the pitfall seed I buried, Honestly I don’t even know why I was there on the first place??? But anyways a few days later I found it again and dug it up again. A few more days later, I STILL don’t know why I was behind it, but I tried to dig it up (my memory is so awful I forgot I buried it like 3 days ago) I failed and destroyed one of my hybrid roses and fell into the pitfall seed for the second time in like a week maybe, I barely even have a singular brain cell.
