I spent 3 hours straight just looking for a good map... honestly, I'm so picky :/
What's the longest you've spent looking for a good map?

Like two hours. Im not too picky though. All i like is that all structures are at the top of map, and for it to have a zig zag river. ALso bottom half cannot have rocks at all.

I've done it off and on for days at a time. I am very picky and reject most of the maps Rover shows me.

I think I spent an hour or two finding one of my second town, maybe over 2 days or something... I don't remember. But I lose patience really quickly. For my very first town I chose one of the first 4 maps. Same with when I restarted it and started Tinytree... I just got too impatient and was happy enough that I got apples. After playing Tinytree for a while I realised my map sucked but I somehow made it work and I love it now. So even if you get stuck with a horrible map... if you're patient there's always a way to turn it around.

Two hours for the main town...
And almost a week for the second one. I'm just not satisfied with it, I can't find anything that would match my interest. I'm always on the "meh" side. :S Maybe I should consider a break from it.

When I started the game, I told myself that I would have chosen the map which suited me the best from the first four Rover shows you. But they were so terrible that I absolutely had to reset and restart, so I would say that I spent about...15 minutes (?) looking for a good map. Yeah, I know that sounds strange to many of you who spend hours trying to find the perfect map, but I'm fine with my current one and I must admit I'm quite lazy so the idea of continously soft resetting for a map didn't really even pop into my head. (I was desperate when I discovered I actually HAD to soft reset if I wanted my town look like I had planned ;.; )

More then 2 days, almost 3. I'm not so picky when it comes to choose a map, however, there are
things the map shouldn't have such as pears as town fruit (I don't like them, I just don't want them)
or ponds at dumb spots (like infront of the way to the campground as an example).

I'm quite happy with the map of my second town. Still, I can't get past the resetting hole. I often find things that don't match, so I keep resetting. DX
I'm one day in with no luck v.v"
My requirements aren't even extensive but it keeps giving me maps with a retail or town hall right smack in front of the campsite entrance and it's making me crazy. All I want is retail/townhall at least sort of next to eachother towards the top of town and a more vertical river since my main is so horizontal

Yeah, I?ve been resetting literally the whole day, still haven?t found any good one. Don?t worry, once you found one you like, the time you spent looking for that map will all be worth it.

I reset for hours but ended up being more concerned with my starting villagers. I used it as an opportunity to get someone I really liked.
I remember that I started with Margie, Penelope, Antonio, Diana, Wart Jr. & I despised Penelope and Wart Jr right off the bat.
Frog/mice/bird villagers are usually my least favorites but the map was excellent & I obviously felt very lucky to have Diana as a starter. She is just so magical it's impossible to dislike her even as a snooty villager.
I didn't know about Antonio before starting my town but he is super special to me now. He was such a surprise because jock villagers aren't usually my favorites but he was just so endearing. I love his color palette and that he's an anteater. I'm like Antonio's number one fan lol
