whats the longest time youve gone plot resetting?

Saying that plot resetting is stupid is like saying refurbishing furniture is stupid. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it stupid. Some people like order and control in their towns as opposed to the randomness and spontaneity.

It's stupid. You can't change my opinion, so go on talking but I don't see the point. Sorry for being rude, but this is how I feel.

plot resetted francine for a week then gave up lmao. she was one spot away from where i wanted so i gave her away. in the end i cycled enough for her and got her in the perfect spot on the first try.

but yeah i kinda miss having that "villagers everywhere" feeling but it sure won't beat having the "perfect villager arrangement" feeling :D

I always plot reset because I don't want terrible house placement, like right in front of somebody else's house or building or whatever. But it usually only takes me a few tries to get a spot I like. I have an "organic" kind of town as well, so the villagers are spread out, as long as they aren't in the way of anything I don't mind where they plant their house. Although the last few houses I placed ended up being in a row by complete coincidence, so that was kind of funny.

Mmm, I think the longest period of plot resetting occured when I was trying to place Diana. Took about 3 hours of continuous plot resetting.

And sorry if you think it's stupid, but like someone else said, I like order and control in my town. I don't want 4 houses lined in front of my PWP's or other landmarks :u

ONE month. The plot lords wants to troll me by placing the land near the campsite HALF of the time. Then the plot of land disappears for no good reason but they come back if I made a new character again, I blame Rover if I choose either "Have a seat!" or "Go away kitty!".

EDIT: I don't care if I plot reset to make my villagers in straight spots, I just want them to NOT make me use one line of a path; if no one understands I'll show you:
H - villager house
P - path
G - grass

H H H G >
H H H G >
H H H G >
G H G G >
P P P P >
H H H G >
H H H G >
H H H G >
G H G G >

I rather prefer using two lines instead of one, I don't know my reason why, but it makes it feel odd for me.

my longest as 5 days ............... never again
and i was stupid enough to plot reset in both my towns (i have 3 copies) so I couldn't rly do anything. my third copy is my cycling town which i didn't touch bc plot resetting just made me so ANGRY

why do i do this to myself lolol (and my plot resets aren't even perfect, it's just to my content lol)

It has only taken me 5-6 resets the couple of times I have tried plot resetting. I mostly just try to keep houses off of paths and away from my fruit trees. I have a lot of public works projects around so that might help. The most annoying thing for me is the giant dirt spot the random villager's house leaves after I demolish it. I reset more often trying to get cool Saharah walls/floors. :)

45 minutes. For Whitney and Zell. -_-

I just reset so they don't destroy things. I don't try to get them in a certain spot.

It took me about 3 hours to place Fuchsia as I wanted to keep the main open area on my map empty, and she was pretty determined to crush bushes. <_<;

I also spent 6 hours resetting to get Julian as my smug villagers in a cycle town. I'd normally have given up long before that but I had travel delays and nothing else to be doing during that time, so I just kept at it.

2-3 hours but I was trying to get bam in one of three pre picked spots I found an ok spot and let him have it

I don't really care about plot resetting. Sure,I absolutely hate it when a villager places there house on my gardens, and next to buildings like Town Hall and Train Station, but the best thing you can do is get rid of the villager. I have a villager who placed their house right next to a bridge. I could still enter, but it really pisses me off. I never plot reset.

I'm like you, down to the EXACT spot I want it. I even set borders around the spot with a path the size of the house. I reset until I get them into it. With Marshal it only took a day. Muffy took 3 days. And that's FULL days of resetting for HOURS AND HOURS each day. I did feel kind of insane with Muffy, because she literally hit every other position she could around my border about a thousand times. I was basically moving her into Flurry's old spot, and needed her house to line up with how Flurry's had been, because I had done all my landscaping before letting Flurry go. Anyway, I did it for so long, that when it finally happened I thought I was imagining it. XD

not plot resetting, but i'm trying to get a good map for when i start my town, and it's been seven hours so far. ;_; which i think is about 360 resets.

Wow, I bet your villagers miss you dearly. I had one day and it was for O'Hare, it was on a Sunday morning and I still had time to buy turnips, phew. :)

Fortunately, you can jump back a day and not worry about plot resetting because the villager moving in shouldn't appear. I got Sterling from a friend and he has placed his house in all locations other than the place I want it. The strange thing about it is that where I want his house is where another villager before him lived. It was a little community that formed itself when I started my new town, and ever since, I've been wanting that little community to stay, just with dreamies instead.

Oh, I see. I never knew TTing backwards without that plot house appearing. I'll try that next time, but just to be sure I actually know it will work is if I use another town and i'll test it out on that.
