i'm sure everyone understands the pain and frustration of plot resetting to get that perfect villager placement unless you are someone who doesnt give a crap about where your villagers are placed--hooray i am soso jealous of you because unfortunately i am suuuuper anal about villager placement and have been resetting for pudge for what seems like an eternity because i am not a lucky person!!!!!

so whats the longest youve gone plot resetting to get a villager in the right spot? and were they in the perfect spot? or did you just give up and say f it?

Plot resetting is stupid. I don't understand why? I really hate those towns with houses in a row. It's just a house. I really don't care
* sorry for the non-stop plot resetters* but, I town reset all the time so I kinda understand you.

Saying that plot resetting is stupid is like saying refurbishing furniture is stupid. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it stupid. Some people like order and control in their towns as opposed to the randomness and spontaneity.

I've never gone over 2 hours, I think. And I don't plot reset to get all houses in a row, I just try to get them alongside my river without screwing up my paths.

I think the longest I plot reset for was two days. I also campsite reset for 15 days. _(:3 」∠ )_

I'm glad I don't have to do that anymore now that I've achieved all my dreamies.

I plot resetted for Eugene for almost two days and couldn't even get him where I wanted him. I just settled with a pretty good spot as opposed to the exact one I wanted because I was getting so fed up haha!
EDIT:
It's funny because I was like "Maybe if I name the new player 'Eugene' that will get me a good spot." AND of course! That's the spot I ended up going with. Now I name the new player after whatever villager is moving in with hopes that it helps.

i think maybe nearly 3 days consecutively, but when i was plot resetting for a decent jock villager it took me like two months bc i gave up halfway.

(currently plot resetting right now... ;_; ugh i just... i'm trying to be more lax about where houses are, but atm i'm resetting for marshal and i kEEP GETTING HIPPEUX I'M JUST LIKE STOP SHOWING UP IN MY TOWN)

I remember resetting for three days to have a nice ninth (wow that sounds terrible) villager... I kept getting the same ugly Uchis, and at one moment I didn't TT with the 3DS like I should have so I ended up with Monty... But he was in the best spot ever so I was super lucky. If only it could've been Fang at that time though xD

Around 20 minutes maximum, I'm happy with my house placement and think they work well with my paths. :) Guess I have just been lucky and not overly picky on where the houses should go.

7 daysnof campsite resettng is bad

As for plots i honestly dont care where my villagers live as long as its not somewhere stupid, so i omly ever need to do a couple of plot resets

Same here.

As someone above pointed out, some people want the extreme (I don't mean that negatively) of order, but I am more into having an 'organic' town, much like the difference between how Los Angeles and London are laid out (the former a grid, the latter a neuron): http://theinfinityprogram.com/index...f-cities-at-night-from-space.3180/#post-46045

i wanted to say that space image link was amazing.

but to be relevant, i've plot reset for some of my villagers, solely to make sure that they don't plop on my orchards or where i want to put my cafe (and i realize that i could build street lamps but eh). i also want to make a 'neighbourhood' feel, while wanting to keep my animal crossing file organic.

i try not to linger too long because i can get a touch insane about it and would rather not cause myself the mental anxiety (IE when i reset my town and spent 2 days non-stop attempting to find a decent map).

it is really frustrating, but if it will make you love your town, i wish you good luck! you can do it. i believe (: just try not to go too crazy, okay?

EDIT : i tried campsite resetting yesterday and quit after i tried twice. it's not worth it to me TT^TT

My most recent plot resetting escapade took about a month. .__.
I wasn't very consistent about it, though.
If I had been plot resetting for a decent amount of time on a daily basis, it wouldn't have taken anywhere near as long.
... In the end, I just shrugged my shoulders and said, 'Close enough.'
