I ended up finishing Mario Party 3's story mode yesterday! It's not something I had intended on beating, but I'm glad I did, since it's the last N64 Mario Party game I had left to beat, plus it's my favorite of the original Mario Party games.
That was one of my last 100% games last year and I had lots of fun with that one too. Katamari games are great and I'm so glad there was a new one.I finished Once Upon a Katamari a couple of days ago as my first game completed in 2026! I enjoyed it, plus I'm glad we finally got a new Katamari game for the first time in ages, it's been too long, lol.
I also recently finished Final Fantasy I! I really enjoyed it. The final boss fight had me ripping my hair out a tiny bit though. Looking forward to playing the other games as I have the Pixel Remaster set.I finished Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy I within a few days of each other. Final Fantasy X didn't impress me when I first tried it several years ago, but grew on me immensely once I tried it again recently. The cast of characters are lovable and while the voice acting is cheesy, it's enjoyable and there are moments where the voice actors impressed me with how they read certain lines. The sphere grid was an interesting change from the typical leveling system other games in the genre have and it was fun giving party members moves that make no sense on them (like Rikku learning multiple spells). The ending also blew me away with how cinematic and well animated it was. And then there's the soundtrack which has to be among my favorites of any game. Every track fits the moment it plays perfectly.
As for Final Fantasy I... it's very much a game from 1987. The story is very simple, some of the dungeon layouts are confusing, and it's quite short. But it was refreshing to play a JRPG in its purest form and I can appreciate it for being one of the most influential games ever made. The pixel remaster was the version I played and it came with great new features like an autosave system and helpful dungeon and overworld maps. I'd easily rank it among Super Mario Bros 3 as my favorite NES game.
I really liked that game! I'm still hoping for another cat game like that lol.Stray.![]()
