What’s the last game you finished?

I ended up finishing Mario Party 3's story mode yesterday! It's not something I had intended on beating, but I'm glad I did, since it's the last N64 Mario Party game I had left to beat, plus it's my favorite of the original Mario Party games.

I finished Metroid Prime 4: Beyond today! Good game, definitely glad we have a new Metroid Prime game for the first time in over a decade.

Recently “finished” Vampire Survivors on steam, specifically the Castlevania DLC. I put quotes there because there is so much to unlock but I’d say I finished the general stuff haha but the game is super addicting. I played it for so long I started seeing gems in my sleep ><

I ended up finishing to a T yesterday! It's a really fun and silly game that I enjoyed a lot, with a simple yet effective message that it's okay to be different, it's okay to be yourself, and that we should accept our differences and treat each other with kindness and respect, something a lot of people need to remember in today's day and age.

I finished Once Upon a Katamari a couple of days ago as my first game completed in 2026! I enjoyed it, plus I'm glad we finally got a new Katamari game for the first time in ages, it's been too long, lol.

I finished Sackboy A Big Adventure on the 1st. That was a fun way to start the new year. With that, I've now finished every LittleBigPlanet game. I played the whole game in 2 player coop which is even better since there's some parts you can't solo. The final boss was surprisingly long and difficult. Overall, it was a solid platformer with nice graphics and good controls. One of those silly and colorful games that just makes you feel happy to play. Even if some parts were pretty hard. Although the main game is done, I'll go back and attempt some optional achievements later. And now I'm looking forward to Restitched.

That was one of my last 100% games last year and I had lots of fun with that one too. Katamari games are great and I'm so glad there was a new one.

I beat Yooka-Replaylee today! I ended up enjoying it more than Yooka-Laylee, definitely a good remake.

Catherine: Full Body. First playthrough and got the reconcile with Katherine ending.

Can't see myself going for 100% on this game (it is fun but playing 100+ levels of the Rapunzel arcade game sounds boring) but I might try to get good endings with the other two characters.

Pokemon Legends ZA.

Had a blast with this game. Interesting story, and I liked the battle system in the game. Also I think the character designs are great.

I ended up beating Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 today! While I can understand the criticisms some people have with the game and how they remade THPS4, overall it was a solid game and I ended up enjoying it! I'm sure I'll pick it up every so often to go through the Solo Tours with the other skaters, much like I have with THPS1+2's Career Mode.

Niche.

I've a few trophies remaining and I'm aiming to 100% unlock all 111 genes (not required for the platinum).

I finished Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy I within a few days of each other. Final Fantasy X didn't impress me when I first tried it several years ago, but grew on me immensely once I tried it again recently. The cast of characters are lovable and while the voice acting is cheesy, it's enjoyable and there are moments where the voice actors impressed me with how they read certain lines. The sphere grid was an interesting change from the typical leveling system other games in the genre have and it was fun giving party members moves that make no sense on them (like Rikku learning multiple spells). The ending also blew me away with how cinematic and well animated it was. And then there's the soundtrack which has to be among my favorites of any game. Every track fits the moment it plays perfectly.

As for Final Fantasy I... it's very much a game from 1987. The story is very simple, some of the dungeon layouts are confusing, and it's quite short. But it was refreshing to play a JRPG in its purest form and I can appreciate it for being one of the most influential games ever made. The pixel remaster was the version I played and it came with great new features like an autosave system and helpful dungeon and overworld maps. I'd easily rank it among Super Mario Bros 3 as my favorite NES game.

I also recently finished Final Fantasy I! I really enjoyed it. The final boss fight had me ripping my hair out a tiny bit though. Looking forward to playing the other games as I have the Pixel Remaster set.

Just finished the main story of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I have around 70 hours and did much of the side content before going for the ending (feeling somewhat overleveled by that point though). I don't plan to 100% everything but had a great time playing. It had a unique turn based battle system, a very fascinating story, and some amazing visuals. It actually has better looking graphics than any other game I ever played before. My main team by the end of the game was Maelle, Lune, and Monoco.
Maelle's ending. I'm aware this is the less popular choice but after learning about Verso's ending I feel like I picked the right one for me. Although I understand the dark implications of this one. There is no truly good ending to this game. I did not want to see the canvas destroyed. These people spent this whole time fighting for their lives, how could you just erase them. Also I emphasize with Maelle's desire for escapism. Maybe she will use her powers responsibly to create a better world. Although I feel like a lot of things in this game are really open for interpretation so it would be interesting to know what anyone else thinks too.

I really liked that game! I'm still hoping for another cat game like that lol.

I just finished Metroid Prime 4 a few days ago. I'm sorry if there are any fans out there, but I wasn't feeling it with this game. It was good but also really messy. I don't get how this is the game they finally arrived at after they had almost 10 years in development and it feels like I heard about it even before 2017.

The bike and open world desert was awful. And oh my god, collecting all those green crystals was the stupidest thing ever. And why it took me so long to finish. Who in their right mind thought this was fun or a good idea shouldn't be allowed to touch another game. I can understand collecting crystals being some side quest you don't need to do, but to force players to do that for the main story was well...bad. And kind of the point I was making in the one thread about 'things you dislike in games'

I don't know how long it took me as I collected some over the course of the game, but overall it was probably 2 or 3 hours. Of riding around the vast empty open world of the desert collecting small crystals. I collected the ones in the temples and those big rocks, but even then I still had to find a ton of the smaller ones dashed about the desert. It was not fun. To add to it, when I beat the boss the game froze to black at the end credits. So I had to go on YouTube to see the ending with Samus and the tree lol.
