What's the end goal for your town?

I want my town to eventually have a rustic, fairytale look, which is quite overdone, but I like it anyway.

Vast meadows of flowers will line the little dirt paths (not the running dirt, I don't have the free time for that), and the occasional public works project area in a theme.

I don't care which villagers my town has, as long as their houses do not violently clash with the colour scheme, of pink, yellow and white with the occasional speck of blue or purple.

My main end goal is to complete the item catalog 100% (or die trying) and earn all the gold badges. While I work on that I'm also doing a lot of landscaping and house decorating which is tons of fun :) I have 3 human characters with plans for a fourth as well as plans for their houses. I have 5/10 villagers that I plan on keeping; I can't decide on a set of dreamies so I just take things as they come and if I like a villager and their house isn't in a terrible spot I befriend them. I'm also playing around with trying to decorate villager's houses by sending them furniture, so even though I TT a lot and play around an in-game week every day I'm always busy!

If I can save up enough to get another copy of the game I've been thinking about modelling a town after St. Mystere or Misthallery from Professor Layton since those games are very special to me.

To somehow get my town to look nice even though I have an absolutely terrible layout. I refuse to reset my town, I'm way too attached to my villagers. :T

I'm not sure if I really have an end goal as such. My town keeps changing as and when I get bored of the villagers or how it is looking....
At the moment, I've got the 10 villagers I want. About 3 or 4 of them are semipermanent so they will at some point be switched out for other villagers I would like to experience. When I'm back on my ds I'm planning on changing the whole town into something more natural and foresty. Get rid of the paths and change the PWP's.

TheRealm is complete. All 6 rooms in all 4 houses are decorated, I've maxed out 30 PWPs in town (and unlocked all of them), completed my museum, and I've had my 10 dog villages for a long time.

My second town, WeeHaven, is just getting started. Starting from scratch is more fun than I thought it would be. I want WeeHaven to have a very natural theme with dirt paths, Zen PWPs, lots of flowers, bamboo, and trees. I don't even have a DA yet!

to only have deer/sheep/wolf villagers, and to have 2 of my 3 character homes modeled (on the exterior) after two churches in Iceland. i also want to have lots of cedar trees, mushrooms, and PWPs that remind you of a Northern forest. it's gonna take a lot of work but i'm ready! i need a long-term goal or the game just gets repetitive haha

When I restarted my launch town back in April I did so with the intent on playing for one year(April 2nd 2016 to April 2nd 2017); And in that time I would try and accomplish as much as possible before hanging the game up for good.
That means collecting as many badges, furniture pieces, all of K.Ks songs, completing the museum, etc. Actual work, not just silly landscaping. Once I got my paths laid down and key areas lined with street lamps to prevent villagers from moving over them, I considered that done and pushed it out of mind.
