What’s still missing in this game?

I’m just wondering since we’ve had quite a few updates. Aside from events and furniture, what’s still missing to make this a complete animal crossing game? :O

Main thing that sticks out to me is the Roost and Gyroids, followed by Katrina’s tent and Gracies shop. I think those are the most important features? I’d like to see the pelicans back too and have the the card stand replaced by a post office building but maybe that’s too much to ask.

I’m just curious when you guys will feel like it’s a complete animal crossing game and ready to receive brand new content. I’d definitely want to see those features I just mentioned before seeing it as complete

It's the gyroids to me, I could never make a nice tune with them but I loved having a bunch in my house when I was younger. Plus the tunes people could set up with them around their islands would be much less repetetive than K.K Bubblegum everywhere!

Yeah the furniture variety thing is valid and I agree with that too, but I was curious what they need actual feature updates for :O

More hairstyles and hair color varieties. (No light brown, white, dark blue, dark purple, etc.) Would be really cool if they could have ombre or multicolored hair, now that would be a huge step up! They could really bring back other NPCs as well like Brewster, Harriet, or even Kapp‘n. It’s getting really repetitive seeing Leif and Label nowadays.

The Roost and gyroids.

The museum storage space because we've got so much cool stuff to collect (like the bug and fish models) and it would be great to have a place to display them.

There are other things I miss but I don't think they'll get added. For example, I don't think the pelicans will return because we already have he card stand. Same with Kapp'n, I liked him but I just don't see what he could do in NH since what he used to do is covered by Dodo now.

More Nook Shop upgrades.

Cannot agree more with this. I simply do not see what the big deal is with Nintendo for holding back nook upgrades? I feel like a lot of the updates they're giving us are simply to keep the game above for extended periods of time. Like they totally could add all this content at the beginning of the games life cycle, but I think they are worried people would get tired of the game too quickly.

NPCs are honestly the least of my concern atm, though if Brewster and Frankling or really any npc returned or is introduced with some furniture as rewards or prizes, I’d look forward to when they’re added (especially if they bring some food/drink or medieval/historical related items). At the very least, I’d like to see unmodified HHD items. Some of the items were introduced but I liked them better in HHD like the jail bars seemed way smaller, the desks - the old wood was must better for my theme. Still waiting for the suits of armor, sword, bow, clothing stack (and the abilitiy to use able’s clothing not just the patterns she gives us as well as custom pro designs to customize it). The ability to use rugs outside or rotate custom rug designs outside is still missing as well. Would also like something to lock dropped items in place so we don’t have to block them off with other furniture to prevent people from stealing.

Yeah, the lack of furniture is the main problem for me. I'm fed up of seeing the same furniture in the same colour in Nook's Cranny over and over again. I really want the gyroids and the cafe too but I'm sure they'll be back at some point.

I also hope that perfect fruit makes a comeback.

I miss perfect fruit a lot and I also miss Gracie and her furniture and clothing. Hopefully we get more updates with more clothing, I know everything mostly comes in other colors but there's a lot to be desired in the fashion department.

Other than furniture, Nooks upgrade, Leif and Kicks having permanent shops, Brewster, and Gracie I think would add a lot.

Also I wished they brought back the mechanic where when villagers leave they send you a letter saying goodbye (with their photo if you were good friends). I hate how now they just peace out without saying anything after the day they're in boxes

But yea honestly right now the biggest issue for me is the lack of furniture variety... I just don't feel as inspired as I did with acnl, especially since acnl had a lot of very unique items (for example, that sofa that looked like a fish lol)

  • And overall, just the ability to progress through different things? Like fruit --> perfect fruit, shovel --> golden shovel (which is not just aesthetic)

• Substantial ways to use old NPCs (not just a cameo like with Rover!)
  • Tortimer, Blanca, Kapp'n and his family, Phineas, Pelly + Pete + Phyllis, Katie, etc.
  • Would love to see mini games again in some capacity, but I understand if that was more of a New Leaf thing :'(
  • More buildings!!
• The ability to have access to all furniture varieties without trading (and furniture variety)
• More diverse villager dialogue so the villagers no longer feel like set pieces (including move out letters, the ability to visit you at your house, the ability to show you the first letter you ever wrote to them, etc.)

Basically, I'll be more excited about this game once they stop repackaging a lot of the old staple features of the game in updates and actually begin to release more new and innovative content.

Bring back the wings from Pocket Camp. I swear, I'm gonna scream if they stay a PC exclusive, they were the best new addition Animal Crossing ever had. :/ Also, I would love to see Gracie and her collection coming back.

I have not played previous games and to be honest some of the stuff from the old games doesn’t appeal to me, like gyroids and Kapp’n. Though maybe my opinion would change if they were introduced.

what I really would like would be to have some additional, unlockable interactions with villagers. I’d love to be able to hug my villagers (once we are ‘best friends’ or dance with them or sing with them or do the play run with them (maybe even shop with them, like when they are looking at something you can have an ieither encourage them to buy it or buy it for them?). I know it may be silly, I just love my villagers.

what I want most of all is additional villager spots! I’m afraid the chances of that are quite low, but it would really be wonderful.

I miss some missing villager interactions like hide and seek, and visting your villagers houses at a set time. I used that chance to buy their ugly furniture to replace it or the nice items i wanted for my house lol. Dead trees were an awesome way to set a certain mood, i had some around my house. I guess we cant have them now because there is no perfect fruit, which i want added back too. I want more things to unlock like shop upgrades and such, they gave me an extra something to look forward to.
