When you get older and start earning your own money, you usually just buy things you want yourself whenever you want. Because of this, by the time christmas comes we don't really have anything in particular that we want.
I feel silly because I'm late into 14 but oh gosh I want all of those things because cuuuute /)^owo^(\
I really want some more clothes for my fairy kei outfit (a pair of pastel overalls, more pink sweaters and cute necklaces and such) The new pokemon game, too!
But I mainly just want cash so I can spend money on my friends ^^
But then like someone asks me what I want and I blurt out something like "uHHHhhhHH?? STICKERS!?" or "I WANT LIKE 50 ERASERS FOR NO REASON" idk haha
The thing is that although I want all these things, I'm sort of just barely in middle class so I don't expect too much. I also like to give others things because my family can afford to do a lot compared to some of my friends. I'm one of those people where if I won the lottery I'd probably lose all of my money because I'd spend all of it on stupid stuff for my friends >.<
Hm, I don't really have a Christmas list anymore. My parents just give me some money to buy things I need, and extended family will either give me money or completely random items since they don't know a ton about me, aha.
I plan to go out on Black Friday (well, the weekend after, I'm busy Friday) and buy some DVDs for myself. And maybe go to the mall to get some clothes and Thai food. But that'll be my little gift to myself, and hopefully I get some Christmas shopping done as well!
For Christmas I am only getting a Wii U and Zelda Wind Waker, it was a toss up between this and a PS3 and Hakuouki: Memories of the Shinsengumi xD
My birthday is coming up near X-Mas too; will be getting Story of Seasons (Xseed pre-order) and Fantasy Life, as well as two art commissions from friends for money of course, a new SD Card w/ more GB haha like 4 GB right now for my 3DS T_T and I believe a small gift card for Barnes and Nobles<3 Might have missed something but oh well xD
ariana grande's honeymoon tour tickets for nyc would be really nice, but seeing as ny is far and i'm already going next year that's probably a no.. 1989 tour tickets too.. same thing. eeee! idk really i'm so bad at picking things for gifts, stresses me right out! starbucks giftcards would be really nice, lush stuff/giftcards idk!! cake pop pans, raspberry baking syrup (been lookin 4 so long). also a camera with an add on lense option, there's one i'm looking at, probably going to end up getting that from my parents because i'm really into fashion photography and i've been using my iphone for blog posts. and i guess just like little baking stuff would be nice! cute spice holders, pink pans, new oven mits, spices!! bath and body works stufff???? eeeeeeee idk this post is a mess.
& yeah basically what a poster said above, i make my own money so i usually just buy stuff i want, so that's why lil things and giftcards are a nice gift nowadays.
christmas cards. prefer them to look simple but nice and with a well-thought blurb written in it. though i don't expect that from everyone, most of my family & friends know i love cards the most.
-Capitan Toad and Smash for Wii U.
-Chocolate
-Money
-And then probably like an outfit.
That's all I really want but I'll probably end up getting more since I'll have to share the games with my little brother.
As a high-schooler with a flip-phone and the near-inability to text, I feel ya almost not really. Depends on your perception of a dinosaur phone
Anyway
I was never good at wanting Christmas presents. Almost every year when I was little I just didn't want anything and let my family guess what kinda stuff I liked. Sorta helped me develop preferences, I guess :/ That, and I feel all bad when I want something and then the novelty of it wears off in like a week, and I stop playing with it It's like they should make a thing where you can "rent" toys or something you really want and see if you actually have a lasting desire for it.
But if there's something I really want right now, I'd say Kirby Triple Deluxe and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. Most of what I want, I have already.
And as far as feeling bad for things, don't get me started on how I'm always trying to be conscious of my parent's budget while I make my lists
