What's Happening to my Villagers Catchphrases?!?

Ok, I know villagers can adopt catchphrases and clothing from other villagers they talk to within your town, but specifically today my villagers have been swapping their catchphrases like crazy!!! It's literally happened about 5 or 6 times within the past few hours and the only reason I'm confused is because none of my villagers have EVER adopted catchphrases from eachother before today. It's very frustrating because I've recently had very good luck obtaining my dreamies and now they're all running around saying the wrong things Bob and Flora are running around saying sweatband, Rosie is saying quackidee, and I'm afraid Lolly or Cranston are going to change theirs soon too I just wanted to know if this has has happened to anybody else? Have I just had crazy bad luck today? I know you can complain to Isabelle but that just resets their phrase to a default (tried and it reset to Uh-huh) I don't care so much about their clothes but I like when they all have their unique catchphrases Is there anything I could be doing wrong? I'm sorry for being so confused about this >.<

Nothing can be done, as far as I know. I think half of my villagers adopted Julian's "sparkle" when he moved into my town, and some villagers who are friends shared catchphrases too. You either reset the day so they don't keep that catchphrases and hope they don't talk with each other that day, or you could also do the PWP trick where you don't meet them for 10+ minutes, and hope that when they ping you, it's to change their catchphrase.

I personally don't mind it when it happens, I think it's actually cute.

Thank you for your reply, I was afraid that was the case. I suppose it's not the worst thing in the world, I just like each of my villagers catchphrases a lot :3 they all suit them well. I've already saved so theres no hope of resetting I guess I'll just try to manually change their phrases like you said, Thank you for that suggestion.

Yeah. I honestly don't think that there is any way to fix this problem except the Isabelle way sadly. Good luck getting them to change back!
