What's going on?

I'm having a problem. First off, I've been playing since the game was released and this has never happened before. Croque said he was moving on the 14th. I said goodbye. He said he was staying because we were not good friends yet. I shut off the power and restarted. Croque pinged me for days, but I ignored him. I then time traveled to his move date. Croque was not in boxes. He was no longer moving.

This was a week ago. Today the same thing happened. He was moving on the 4th. I said goodbye. He said he was staying. I hit the power button and restarted, then time traveled to the 5th. He is still here.He is no longer moving.

Has the update changed things? I'm feeling frustrated.

Did you keep resetting till he agreed to move? Or just the once?

The only thing I know the update changed was the move out day from five to ten.

No. I didn't keep resetting because in the past I would just quite without saving, start up again and ignore their pings. It always used to work.

I finally got sick of Croque not moving so I scanned Sly the aligator ( from wisp), and asked him to move in. I was then able to make Croque move. Only thing is. I only have a few cards and I really didn't want Sly, but he did move in the most perfect spot ever ( thanks to the new update with them not moving on patterns), and Croque's house is finally gone. It was in a bad location.

you could have kept resetting and croque would have eventually said he was moving out, but it's good that you got sly to move in instead because now if you use another amiibo card to take sly's place (which you will, unless you have 8 villagers moved in by amiibo cards), it is likely to take sly's plot.

Idk if this is the problem but there have been reports of villagers acting strangely when they need to move. Some people have mentioned villagers moving within 2 days of each other. It may be a bug with the update that needs to be addressed.
