What's going on with seasonal DIYs?

It's just random. Sometimes you go days with no DIYs, and some days you get 3+, sometimes one after the others. It's rather annoying, especially with those that have a very limited time frame.

I've been playing every day this month and have been shooting down lots of balloons, but have only managed 3 mush DIYs.

I usually like to acquire the DIYs on my own, but with such little luck and so many DIYs coming up (maple leaf and winter items too), I'm wondering if I'm just better off trading for them than spend hours looking for balloons.

Are they all going to be this difficult to acquire? Curious to hear others experiences.

I was literally thinking the same thing today!

Can anyone help me out with the following DIY Mushroom Items?

I am still missing the lamp, low stool, and parasol!

What can I offer in return?

So far, I've done quite well on collecting seasonal DIYs (with the exception of cherry blossom season, I did not know what I was doing back then XD).

I have all the tree's bounty and mush DIYs. The tree's bounty ones I mostly acquired naturally, shooting down balloons that drifted over while I was doing other things on my island. I did hunt for the mush DIYs, mainly because I wanted to have them before maple leaf season started and because I wanted to replace my spooky decorations with more fall like ones.

If I hunt, I usually do so by doing the strategy of going inside and talking, I find it spawns balloons more reliably than just waiting on the beach. I spent around 5 hours hunting for the balloons to get 9 mush DIYs (others I had already collected naturally again). 3,5 hours in one go last weekend, 1,5 hours yesterday and then today the first balloon I shot had the last DIY.

That first 3,5 hour stretch at first seemed to be wasted effort: I shot 39 balloons and only got the first mush recipe at balloon 25. But after that the recipes have been coming in quite a quick succession, it now seems almost 1 in 3 balloons had a DIY. Fingers crossed that rate is still there tomorrow

I'm grateful to have finished the mush diy set when it came in earlier this year in the southern hemisphere. Now that they're in season in the north hemisphere, I was hoping to help friends get the diys more easily since I don't need them, but I've found exactly 2 so far in my north town since the start of the season.

I am a little behind on game(just did halloween a few days a go). I have been more focused on going through the days I missed for mushrooms and haven't really tried to get them yet. I did get the wall and parasol though. I'm going to start focusing on getting them now. Good luck to all of us.

Five hours and not a single maple DIY.

It was like this for me during Cherry blossom season when it first begun. I got two recipes and I played every single day when I first started. Now I haven’t played every day in November, but I’ve only got the mush parasol, stool, and wreath so far.

also, it was very hard for me to get any acorns and pinecones so I just bought stacks for cheap. I will just also buy all the mush/maple/cherry blossom DIYs here because it’s annoyingly frustrating. I wish the system knew when you got a repeat recipe and will only give you repeats after you get *every available DIY* that is available in that current time.

I've been able to get all the mush DIYs but I did have to spend a couple of hours every day for about a week to get them. I can imagine for those who have less time to play are going to have a much harder time collecting them. I think the fall DIYs are beautiful, but it is a little crazy that we have so many in such a short amount of time.

I haven't gone through any seasonal stuff except for halloween (only got my game about a month ago) and nwo I'm dreading hitting a point where I have to get seasonal DIYs it seems strange that they would make it only able to acquire through balloons, wouldn't it make sense to be able to get them from villager's crafting??
